This car is an absolute BLAST to drive! when fully tuned on racing softs and this car is so freaking fast AND its tail happy! and on top of all that, its practically IMPOSSIBLE to spin, but it feels like its about to spin ALL the time! just attack the corners like crazy and its just SO amazing! it is quite hard to contain under extreme braking but STILL! its so fun! A MUST buy if you can afford it! it may look a bit derpy (massive fail with the headlights Ferrari! :grumpy:) but it is honestly the greatest near-road-car in the game! Its also Very useful for races restricted to 650PP and even with sport softs its super fast! Who's with me?

Honestly i was absolutely amazed. at first i was thinking 'aww man this looks difficult' but then after a while of safe driving (because the car feels twitchy and slidy) i accidntally went into a corner WAY to fast, or so i thought, and the rear end slipped out a little and i flew through the corner like a mongoose! when driving this car just drive like a maniac and you'l get the best out of it!

I am looking forwards to driving this. The fastest ever car around the BBC TopGear track.(removed due to the non road legal racing tyres)

The one thing i had to do to it was change the LSD a bit. i made it:
Initial torque: 8
Acceleration sensitivity: 10
braking "": 5
with this setup this car is a rabit! this is all i had to do to it!

YOU MUST DO THIS THOUGH OTHERWISE ITS ALLOT HARDER TO DRIVE!

Have you compared that to the stock LSD? fit the actual stock one (not just "default" the stock upgraded LSD) and compare your lap times. You might be surprised to find the stock one is quicker and your not an amazing tuner.

Just saying I've fiddled with settings for hours believing I am making the car better when in fact the stock was easier and faster to drive.

Yes i have tried it stock and it just isnt my type... maybe ill try it again now that im used to the way it drives...

This is the one that looks like a enzo with white stripes and LCDs for mirrors yes? Well I took it on le Sarthe everything stock zero aids, I think I was using comfort tires too....the speed of this thing is brutal, you get to 200 plus so quick, the handling was great too on crap tires.

too bad the sound is so.. non cool. the sound is the reason i avoid driving the FXX that's sitting in my virtual garage

Yeah just tried it with the 'stock' lsd and its just to easy to loose control. gonna stick with my setup thingy for now.

And honestly, just turn your sound off, its that good.

but awesome ferrari engine that produces awesome sound in the real life.

i would most certainly like to hear that sound while driving around

I have it but I've only just got to IA series so I haven't needed to use it yet. Looking forward to it trying it tho.

Because you bought an amazing car, and then took all of it's character away :(

Fully tuning any car then sticking it on racing softs is nothing like the stock car that you bought.
Im sorry, but i entirely dissagree with you. A: just because it fully upgraded it and put racing softs on it does NOT take away its character, and B: fully upgrading it and put racing softs on it just made i HILARIOUSLY fun to drive compared to what it was before. just because you like your cars stock does not mean i should.
Because it's a noobish easy way out
easy way out of what? why do you think that by me fully tuning the car im a noob. i like fast cars. whats it too you?

I haven't driven this car yet, but this quote makes me a sad panda.

I understand what you mean. Imagine these people in real life..."Buy a Ferrari FXX, don´t like how it handles..., go and tune it"

Some people don´t get the idea of how special those cars are. They just want everything "easy".

In my case I always let the cars as they are since they were actually meant to be driven that way. The real idea is to master those "hard" to drive cars.

(That´s why I love rFactor 2 and other simulators on PC, because they are hard)

It was the car i was most excited to drive, that and the Z4 GT3.

Then i heard them!

Spoils the whole thing, how can they get them so wrong?
They don't even try to put something that sounds even remotely similar in them.

Do they just pick the sound samples a car gets out of a hat?

I thought things were looking up after the RedBull JR, then we get Mario Andrettis car and is buisness as usual, "pass me the sound samples hat Kaz"

It's literally a beast. I love to compare bone stock road cars at SPA, and since the game treats it as a road car (sport hard tires, no adjustable downforce, no adjustable suspensions ecc...) I put it in the "road cars" category. It's 6 seconds faster than the Huayra, it's incredible!

Sounds interesting.
I'll have to give it a try and see if it's as much fun as the OP makes out. Cheers for the heads up.

i see what your getting at, but this is a game. if it were real life, there would be no way in hell i would ever tune this sort of car, but because its GT and there are technically infinite FXX's, so why not just make it faster. and im not trying to make the game easier. im up to the super events and i find them kinda boring (which is weird because i liked the edurances:sick:) so the only reason im using the FXX is because its fun.

Mate don't let anyone try to tell you how you should or shouldn't enjoy the cars in this game. Tuning has always been a big part of the fun factor of Gran Turismo, & we should all be thankful that we have so many options to race these cars any way we want to.

It's unfortunate however, that the FXX sounds like s#%t................

I understand you completely, but we have two complete opposite definitions of "fun" of course.

I prefer those cars to be as they are as I said, and if they are hard once I get used to them or master them, it will be even more fun for me to drive, instead of "helping" myself with tuning and upgrades which won´t make me a better driver.

All in a good way mate. Two points of views. ;)

I spent so long grinding enough credits to purchase it and it was worth it, even restricted massively its still blindingly quick! I have spun it however several times around brands hatch bit that's a nix of power early and not responding with the steering wheel quick enough but brilliant purchase

Fully tuning any car then sticking it on racing softs is nothing like the stock car that you bought.

Also, fully tuning it and decreasing the top speed makes the FXX undriveable. I tried slightly tuning it by decreasing weight, and buying the cheap power booster components such as ECU, intake, etc-it had massive wheelspin and was a complete headache to drive :ouch:
The stock version is fine, and buying the fully customisable suspension and transmission would be the only other things you need to improve this car. Furthermore, even as stock, it is an LMP killer-Like the Wind was incredibly easy, and expect a tigh finish when racing in the GT World Championship.
And although I like the FXX so much, my favourite Ferrari would still have to be the 288 GTO-God I love the look of that thing...

Edit: as mentioned above, customising the LSD is a must to help make this car even more driveable
