How great is the FXX?

I don't tune any of my cars I only like them stock.

That being said, I drove it last night and it has unreal downforce. Nothing I've driven feels like it and the thing pulls like a rocket.

Although...I was spinning out to much when braking and steering, I has to be very precise and gentle while steering.

It's kind of annoying as I tried fitting racing hard tries which didn't benefit me.

*When i first saw it (photos, before the release of gt6) i was like wooohoo imagine zonda r and this at the 'ring, yeah!! at last! a very good competitor to zonda.. nope.. few kmh in this and my first thoughts was.. "The lack of down-force adjustment is a problem..". But what can i do? this is it, i like it, and i'll drive the hell out of it ..Still chasing my friend's Zonda r (and vice versa). In return of all this .. I finally "master" the beast and now the fun is unlimited.. who cares about dforce!

(I also like to keep the majority of my cars stock -not in real life though haha- just to enjoy their temperament)

*Forgive my bad Eng guys

The one thing i had to do to it was change the LSD a bit. i made it:
Initial torque: 8
Acceleration sensitivity: 10
braking "": 5
with this setup this car is a rabit! this is all i had to do to it!

YOU MUST DO THIS THOUGH OTHERWISE ITS ALLOT HARDER TO DRIVE!
Thanks for the tip...gonna buy this sweet car soon. I have got the cash already but imma tight ass!

I drove it stock around Ascari early in the game and it was fun. But to be perfectly honest, I was expecting at least a half a$$ed effort by PD at the sound. It's not even close and really throws a damper on the immersion for me. I know a lot of people don't care about the sound but here's a sample. One of the most beautiful and ferocious cars in history. The engine is basically saying to you, "don't screw up or I will rip your face off" every time you hit the throttle:

I would surely give it a nice upgrade, just to check how powerful and quick it can get, but I would surely not prefer to drive it all souped-up, I never did in GT5 and I seriously doubt I will start to do anything similar in GT5.

This definitely helped, although I would higher the braking sensitivity a little bit more.

But, I'm still disappointed in this car, it doesn't sound right when going from light throttle to full throttle and the car doesn't sound as it should.

The most disappointing thing is when I brake in it my car sways right and if I try to get out of it it causes me to lose some control. It also feels like at points it simply won't turn.

I'd still get it because the downforce is a whole different thing than all cars I've driven and it's acceleration easily gets you to 190mph smoothly.

This needs lots of practice but these super fast cars need a steering wheel to perfect better and if only my fanatec V1 would work with this.

I may have to try this for the Willow Springs 8 lap S class race. The Huayra (Pardon my spelling if this is wrong) was too twitchy and prone to spin out for that race. I tried a fourth lap and got stuck halfway around with no tires

**** this car. I broke my controller.

This car ****ing sucks my ass! Horrible throttle response and horrible steering response you're skidding off so you slightly turn the joystick it spins you out. Won't even go around a ****ing corner at 40mph!

I spun out a gazillions times, the Aston Martin one-77 handled corners better than me in the supercar festival.

I simply can't get this overrated piece of **** to work. The stock Enzo is much more predictable and balanced.

People reading this thread don't buy this car or you'll end up with a ****ing broken controller!

Hazzy,

HAHAHA. sorry, I could just picture your face when you typed that response and it's halarious. lmao. Ive been mad enough to throw my controller before. hahahaha

The amount of frustration in your post is what makes it so funny

I got a little sad inside too after I heard it for the first time in GT6 :(

It could have been right up there with the LFA and the 787B for monstrous sound. Neither of those are particularly correct either :ouch:

I simply can't get this [car] to work.

And this makes you assume nobody else can handle or enjoy it? How cute.

With my T500RS, this car is very balanced in my opinion. The tires it comes with are SH, which can be tricky for throttle-on oversteer, but still manageable. With Sports Softs, it's a racecar and has very little oversteer. Sports Medium seem to be just right in terms of balance for me.

Exhaust is disappointing, which is a recurring theme in the series. Stock exhaust seems to have the correct RPM "frequency," but it's too quiet. Semi-racing is fantastic in the lower RPM range when it's torqueing through turns, but loses its luster in the upper RPM range. Sports and Racing exhaust are just all wrong.

I understand you completely, but we have two complete opposite definitions of "fun" of course.
All in a good way mate. Two points of views.;)

Well tuning isn't about buying tires and upgrades. It's about settings, particularly the suspension. There's a certain art behind transforming a touchy MR car into something that feels almost like a 4WD. I'm sorry you don't understand. It's tires that ruin the fun; doing all your tuning on sports hards and then switching up, even to sports softs, is incredibly rewarding. But slapping racing softs and an lsd right out of the gate....hah.

Yesterday I halfway broke my controller doing RB carts... they go faster around the corner than I do straight up cheating and just plowing straight through the first/second turn in Silverstone... how can they go faster when I cut like... half the track lol...

You probably quoted the wrong guy...or misunderstood what I said to the other guy.

Just in case, I understand perfectly what you are saying.

Haven't tried it. I hope it has a nice sound, unlike the Enzo (haven't heard the Enzo in GT6 though).
if you had read the other comments, you would know that this car sounds terrible...:(

I don't see what you're saying, although I have not purchased the car I was curious about how horrible the sounds apparently are. After looking through quite a few videos, while it's not perfectly accurate it sounds like a FXX to a degree. Seems quieter and somewhat muffled though.

Racing Softs provide an unrealistic level of grip

Rubbish, the car comes with racing softs as standard in real life!!!! Tyre and driving aid snobs ruin this community. As soon as someone dares to say they put racing tyres on or used SRF or TC then they are 'noobs' (so disrespectful when you don't know the 1st thing about that person) or should change their driving style. Why should they? What is wrong with people enjoying the game exactly how they want to? I reckon people here just want to feel higher than others, the elitism on this site is far beyond any other I frequent and I can't work out why? When playing a game we are doing nothing in life that provides gain or substance for others, we are doing nothing creative and certainly nothing out of the ordinary yet people feel a need to condemn the way others use their own personal property to the point of insult!!

Where does it say an FXX comes with Racing Softs? Us "Snobs" are not, we are just driving without need for aids. Anyone can drive a car with TCS, ASM on and racing softs. I fail to see "this elitism" and you're the one doing personal attacks here, as the statement in bold proves.

Now, give it a try with a DS3. All you people telling me I'm the problem most of you have steering wheels which makes it loads more easier.

Who's it personal to exactly? It's an open statement, a general-ism. When a name is involved, that's personal -big difference.

And the Ferrari FXX in real life comes equipped with full racing slicks, race spec gear box, fully adjustable suspension and adjustable aero' - 3 things missing on the game version.

You just personally attacked a whole community by telling them they are doing in nothing in life.

The statement meant that by playing the game it is doing nothing in life that achieves anything of note, it doesn't change other peoples lives and so forth. I'm part of this community too and I know I do things in life of note just like many others here do, but that's away from the game. By playing a game you don't affect other peoples lives so my point is, why do people get wound up or feel a need to damn others for using driving aids or race tyres?

*edit* I have changed my original posting from using the word 'you' to 'we' as looking back I can see how my intention could be misinterpreted.

You didn't specify in your original post that your recommendation to not buy the car was based on exclusive DS3 use. You did, however, assume that because you couldn't control it, no one should try.

A wheel being easier is debatable. Many try it and hate it. Many try and never look back.

So true! I tried it and hated it which really surprised me!

I'm going to take mine around Monza on Sports Hard and see how many times I can crash. 👍
