How great is the FXX?

What's your problem dude, can you actually realize the FXX does NOT produce the same downforce of a Zonda R nor a GT1 race car because wasn't Ferrari goal doing that? FXX is a TUNED car used for research and develop programm.
They already have done a race car out of Ferrari Enzo, it's called Maserati MC12 GT1.
That car feature the same engine and chassis of the Enzo. While being equiped with a different bodyshape and being limited by FIA rules (smaller rear wing compared to opponents and smaller front splitter) still managed to win GT1 championship 5 times in a row.

I don't have a problem.

The FXX is a fantastic race car.

I was racing on Daytona road with Racing Hards and was surprised at how the brakes just didn't seem to want to stop the car. I run ABS off and jacked the balance all the way up, and even slamming on the brakes, I couldn't get them to lock up.

I was racing online and also thought the brakes were extremely poor. I had to brake miles before the corners, it was funny. Still managed 2nd place but decided to never race the car seriously again.

Then some hours later I discovered that I hadn't installed race brakes :dunce:

I have to agree the car is alot of fun to drive, though i had to put on harder suspension as it tended to role a bit too much in the corners and put on some better breaks and it is a blast.

You know, not that I think of it, I think the car is broken. It gains speed way too fast, and doesn't seem to stop pushing. I haven't tried the max speed still, but I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches 400km/h.

And the handling is way too good. Not what you would expect from a car like this. It feels lighter than it is and it really doesn't do anything wrong. I know it's a track only car, but it doesn't hide it's street origins. It shouldn't feel that much faster than the Enzo.

I really... don't like this car anymore. I can see why some people don't like it either. I went online yesterday, and I found a bunch of lobbies with the typical "No RB, FGT or BS" Now they added "No RB, FGT or FXX. BS = Kick."

Unless someone confirms that this car is this amazing, then I'll like it. As for now I've committed a sin and had to detune mine down to 650HP to at least make the acceleration a bit more realistic. And detuning is probably in my top 3 of things NOT to do in GT.

It's a cool car, no doubt, but it feels like I'm driving on ice with this car on RH tires, stock, and no assists except for ABS 1. I will use someone else's tune for this car, but it feels undrivable for me. I want to drive this, though.

How fast is this car? I can almost see 200 MPH on the front straight at Grand Valley Speedway.

If you do buy this car, you have to get at least RH tires as the car is modeled to have slicks.

i found making the LSD 8, 10, 5 makes this car considerably more fun!

I thought it's suppose to come with slick tyres but I googled images of the fxx, I can see threads on the tyre. Anybody has any explanations? About the car, I wouldn't call it broken, I won few races in career in stock on sports hard

I am looking forwards to driving this. The fastest ever car around the BBC TopGear track.(removed due to the non road legal racing tyres)
Eeyup, fastest ever car around the test track... after the Renault Formula 1 car, the Lotus T125, the Pagani Zonda R, the Aston Martin DBR9, the Caparo T1, and the Ultima GTR720. I guess you could ignore some of them but the Zonda R is still faster.

Hmm not sure about this, whilst I've no doubt it's a nice car, 1. Putting racing softs on anything other than an F1 car or perhaps an LMP seems a bit unrealistic to me and will make a ton of cars in GT6 handle real nice, and 2. It isn't a road car, so one would expect it to blow away the road cars in the game, and be a match for a few of the race cars with similar PP.

How does it compare to the similar track-only Zonda R? And does it really run slicks in real life? Or just bespoke track tyres with tread?

Because you bought an amazing car, and then took all of it's character away :(

Fully tuning any car then sticking it on racing softs is nothing like the stock car that you bought.
I only stuck race softs as if I remember right that was the OEM spec.

I've got a stock one, and have had almost since the game's come out. Tried it out at Ascari when I first got it, and had really rather mixed feelings. It was okay around the corners when you got it right and had staggering straight-line speed, but it was just SO damn finicky. Just hopped in it for a quick race at Bathurst though, and for some reason the thing is now pure magic around the turns for a supercar. I don't know if it's the 1.03 update (which, if I recall correctly, fixed the handling on MR cars), but now it's definitely earned a place on my favorites list. :)

This car is an absolute BLAST to drive! when fully tuned on racing softs and this car is so freaking fast AND its tail happy! and on top of all that, its practically IMPOSSIBLE to spin, but it feels like its about to spin ALL the time! just attack the corners like crazy and its just SO amazing! it is quite hard to contain under extreme braking but STILL! its so fun! A MUST buy if you can afford it! it may look a bit derpy (massive fail with the headlights Ferrari! :grumpy:) but it is honestly the greatest near-road-car in the game! Its also Very useful for races restricted to 650PP and even with sport softs its super fast! Who's with me?

Any car that's so damn fast that the manufacturer had to replace the tail lights with exhaust pipes to get even the slightest bit more out of it is not derpy at all. :D
