Six Sprint races are currently planned:
Bahrain, Emilia-Romagna, Canada, Austria, Netherlands and Sao Paulo. The format of them is likely to not be anything to do with setting the grid, but they're not set in stone either.

The sprint format may however see the return of the Bahrain Outer Loop layout!

So, anyone expecting the glaring flaws we saw at Jeddah to be fixed and the facilities properly finished within three months' time?

...nah, me neither. Maybe if we're lucky a massive dust storm will kick up and bury the place under a giant sand dune, like so many year old Bentleys and Lamborghinis abandoned in the desert by sheikhs who got bored with them.

Judging by the flags on the chart, there are some interesting changes:
Hungaroring is now in the Netherlands
Zandvoort is now in Russia
Orban already surrendered to Putin?

Also, I thought Sochi was getting nixed for a street circuit elsewhere. Or did that get delayed?

Finally, I will believe Australia is happening when the series actually is on the plane to Melbourne. Unless the pandemic magically goes away, Australia, Singapore and Japan are still at risk.

2022 is the last GP at Sochi, it is getting replaced by Igora Drive near St Petersburg for 2023 onwards.

I was really hoping to make it out to Montreal for the race next year. My fear is that the sprint race will jack up prices even more.

Might go to the casino and see if I can win some money to cover costs:lol:. I’m already mentally preparing myself to sleep in my car for the weekend.

I'd make a joke about no refuelling and Oregon but that would be the other way around, 1 star instead of 49.
That would be 48 stars (New Jersey doesn't allow it either).

Spa changes are more significant than I thought. Gravel traps being added circuit wide for the bikes. Whole grandstand running down from T1 demolished.

No mention of the changes being made to Eau Rouge though?
This is the third update, the first two showed a bit of radillion but I don't think they've done much of the work in that area yet, other than demolishing the house and levelling out the land.

Well I'll be, they finally did it. They found a way to make me less interested in a race at Interlagos.

The last race at Interlagos had a sprint race and it was probably the best of the lot.

Remember, the new cars if they do the job they were designed for, will make the sprint races much more exciting and with points to 8th, more to race for.

There's (understandably) some doubt about the Russian GP happening.

I have to wonder how long before this situation starts affecting HAAS, certainly makes the Rich Energy saga seem like nothing.

I'd happily take Turkey over Russia as well.

Also swapping Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi for Portugal and Germany would leave a near perfect calendar for me.

If it means Mr. Touchy is gone too...

Interesting. Expected Russia to drop off but didn't expect Turkey to appear so quickly.

Maybe just giving Codemasters time to get it in the game this year.

Basically this means if war is still going on come mid-August, they will not be racing in Sochi. Not really the statement of confidence one is looking for.
