I am going to watch it tonight but I doubt I'll start liking Shinobu, especially more than Tsubasa and Mayoi.

Still surprised that I woke up this morning afternoon to find my dad looking at a TV like that online. I have asked if I could get a better TV, but I never thought it would lead to my dad seriously considering getting me an HDTV.

Pretty sure they don't make new SDTVs.
 
We gotta watch it! It's the best anime of all-time. It puts every other anime to shame in terms of quality because it's THAT AMAZINGLY GOOD!:dopey:

Seems Idea Factory who made this has other really low scoring anime.

Tsubasa's haircut is bleh, I liked her ponytail and glasses look(but I would like to see kitty tsubasa with short hair :3
 
Finished Deadman Wonderland 3. Man, Ganta's such a wasted character. At first I thought he was going to just be another Shinji in a crappy situation, but then he was given some ballin' power in a twisted prison(which I love the idea of. Conspiracies ftw). If the mangaka stopped for a second and thought "Hey, let's not make this guy a bitch", I'm sure Deadman Wonderland would get better reviews. I'm enjoying it so far, though.


The OP is alright, kind of a fun listen and I like the ladies in it(Shiro and that other girl dancing). It fits the tone of the show well, or at least what I want out of the show.

On an unrelated note, the cover of the 9th and final single of Steins;Gate (The Blu-ray. All the BD's are LE only.). It looks brilliant, and I hope FUNi uses it on the LE artbox (Remember if you skip out on the parts, and wait for a box set, you won't get any of the goodies or artbox.). Comes out February 22, 2012.

A song from the K-On! movie that I somehow forgot about. No body can deny the awesomeness of this song. This movie is gonna be the next time I watch anything subbed, but no matter what, I'm gonna watch the dub, which I hope can get into theaters near where I live.

I am excited for this movie. If you're lucky, Raleighwood might show it (they just showed the FMA movie), but that's a long shot. Next closest place would probably be Greensboro but I don't really see anywhere showing it near us.
 
I rate One Reason at least a 7/10...in the "mainstream rock" category :p
I like it more than NO SCARED... and I'd take it over Errand any day.

A little better, but still doesn't look like huke's one distinctive style to me... I also don't see the point of asking for opinions on cover arts done by the same artist :odd:
 
Each cover art is different, even though it's done by the same artist.:rolleyes:

I know, when Summer Wars came out, I had my dad drive me an hour to Greensboro to see it, then when Pokemon White: Victini and Zekrom came out, he drove me down to Morrisville. I think as long as it is within the state, my parents will bring me. Even if the closest is in Charlotte or Concord Mills, my parents will bring me just because my sister goes to college down there so they can see her.

I instantly fell in love with her little laugh thingy, it was so adorable, and the dialogue it the whole episode was just great. Best episode so far mainly for the dialogue and the fact the story moved forward slightly.

An another note, Bakuman 17 is out for whoevers interested.

Also, I was checking the US amazon and saw Spice and Wolf the complete first season on BD for only $19... That's really cheap, right? I immediately went into skeptic mode thinking it might just be on offer for a couple of days so I threw my cash at them and ran.

Also, the BD cover was done by the same person who colored the animation frames in the show; nothing alike the illustrator who did the 009 cover.

Even though it's the same style, the cover art is still different. Comparing the cover is something you can still do.

You can compare pose and other things added... but the characters look the same(SAME STYLE), so it's a bit redundant to go "Oh, well does this one look more like it?"

Not really worth it. It's not a good upscale. The quality is in 540P IIRC. FUNimation didn't use the same masters as the Japanese Spice & Wolf BD box which were HD masters.

Meh, I'm not too fussed, it's only $19. You can hardly say it isn't worth it when you look at the price of other anime BD's and in a lot of cases DVD's are stupidly priced too.
 
I'd be watching Bakuman. if I had the DVD's from Media Blasters. It didn't get a simulcast, nor legal streams. I've read and own volumes 1-6 of the manga however. From what I've been hearing, stuff I've read has appeared in season 2.
