Currently watching Da Capo, hoping to get psychopathic girls out of my head.
EDIT: He he. You should hear what weird things I say when watching anime. "Oh god! Run! She's going to stab you! With knives! Knives dipped in alcohol and set ablaze!"

Ah, good to see some life in this thread. Haven't been here in a while.

Shuffle! was a lot of fun, I rather liked the insane psychopaths and the drama, since you don't see a lot of it this side of School Days (or Higurashi - now there's something that will make you lose sleep), and it differentiated it from a lot of the typical harem fare.

How far are you in Da Capo? It's certainly not as freaky as Shuffle but it still does delve into the really dramatic at times - although if you've watched any harem-types like this you should be used to it. Yoriko's arc was a real tear-jerker for me, so hopefully you will enjoy that.

I'm jealous of you people who have that much time to watch anime though - I can barely fit an hour or two in my schedule as it is, but that doesn't mean I discriminate. I still watch a lot of shows even though I have no time.

What's everyone's opinion of the anime from this season? I'm following ef - a tale of melodies and absolutely loving it every step of the way (although some might find it too 'artsy').
Clannad AS is still pretty solid, although some of the drama is a bit overblown.
Akane-iro ni Somaku Saka ... I don't like it ... but I watch it anyway. Maybe I'm wondering if it goes the same way as Da Capo - you'll see what I mean ;)
Oh, and Nodame Cantabile Pari-hen ... man, I missed Nodame. Superb slice-of-life / comedy / romance.
Watching Chaos;Head as well and it's pretty solid, although I'm really confused by it. But that's part of the fun!

I quite like going into psychopathic rage myself, so I think I'll watch Higurashi later. And I love the avatar.

A good call, given that Higurashi is a very gripping anime, but I must say, if you're scared by Shuffle, Higurashi will give you nightmares. Or maybe that's just because I watched it late at night in a dark room - good for mood, bad for sanity. :sly:

See what I mean?

It's definitely a different type of anime; although it looks like a harem, it's more like a mystery show with some cute girls spliced in. Not a bad formula in any case - I've finished the first season, and am starting the second.

In any case I don't know how much you've heard of it already, so I'll stop ranting unless you need more detail. :)

Especially when:

Especially when:

That scene was bad, but not as much as the
fingernail-ripping scene,
personally. Although who it happened to did kind of make me grimace.

Although I personally don't consider that spoilers that much, it doesn't say who or why - the good kind of spoiler, that makes you a bit wary and anxious, and makes you ask "Is it going to happen to her? Or her? Or her?"

Ah, maybe I like playing the guessing game too much. It helps in Kanon where I got wrongly spoiled and spent the entire anime wondering if
Ayu was going to turn into a fox.

And I was spoiled for the two big twists in Shuffle and still enjoyed it, because I got to see what led up to it. And Sia's second arc was touching too~

I also thought the:
The fight in the junkyard, leading to putting the bodies in a fridge
was very freaky and creative.

Oh, THAT'S where that's from! I was watching AMV Hell, and I was choosing random anime, based on what info I could get from it.
Especially when:
A certain character stabs herself in the heads over and over again

What is love, baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more...

Its good to the people in the forum and anime has the same likings for anime.

YES Chaos;Head seems to be full of questions with no answers. Di-sword? Find it quick? so confusing lol

Clannad AS is very good, I enjoyed the last part of Mei Arc, Nagisa's dad is just so funny.

Akane-iro ni Somaku Saka - I like it, I find its very cute and it strangely reminds me of Goshuusho-sama Ninomiya-kun (Also a great anime but damn too short)

Im currently watching Season 2 episode 15 nothings really happened lol

My preferences in anime...

Shounen (no Shoujo s*** and weird drawings_
Mecha (GUNDAM ONLY)

My preferences:
Comedy (Without it, I would go insane)
Romance (The same)
Harem (Do I really have to explain?)
Ecchi (Likewise)
Psycho (I like going insane with visions of blood and gore, as well as being scared for my life)
I really don't care what audience it was made for, as long as it's rather interesting.

I'm watching Higurashi. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Oh my god! AAAAAHHHHH! Nooooo!!! I don't to die!!!! :(

Me:
Soul Eater( trying to catch up but working alot)
Initial D Extra stage 2
Mind asking this, but is it with English subtitles? If so, can you please PM me the link? ;) Might as well download Extra Stage, Battle Stage and Battle Stage 2 while I wait for 5th Stage to appear......

As for another few animes I'm thinking of watching are Galaxy Angel (didn't really knew they had more series after the first 13 episodes......) and after going through another shop looking for WM, suddenly got interested into watching Gungrave all of a sudden..... (the game was pretty nice) Should hopefully be something similar to Cowboy Bebop..... 👍

I was watching the Raw version.
Aaaaaaawwwwwww................ :grumpy:
Well do you reckon you can make subtitles for me? :D Wish there was a fansub group out there that is doing Extra Stage 2 right now........ :guilty:

Ive glanced at Raw EXtra Stage.
NO BIG RACES... is all I have to say...

Watching Da Capo Season 2 and just thinking that Nemu should have died... Then Kotori can have Junichi lol (I find that thats a better couple)

You gotta feel sorry about her neglection.

Finished H20 Footprints in the sand and WTF... happy ending but a really awkward one... Its one of those meh animes.

Hayate no Gotku is nearly done, just two more then some new season announced later lol.

I wonder If I should start a new anime lol, but i still have like 6 series midway. Others would be new 2008 animes in autumn are weekly so thats no problem.

Extra Stage is just to show you what happen to Mako and Ikentani. Since Mako has sooooo many fans.

I was hoping for a re-match against Tak...

Havent read any new Chapters...
Ive read up to the start of FD v.s. Supra.

Manga is funnier the expressions are a laugh.

I wonder whats gonna happen with Tak and his new girl :)

What if that slut comes back!!? lol

I'm on episode 23, and Higurashi has touched my now tainted soul. Like the avatar? :D :trouble:

lol back to the crackhouse now okay?

:)

Oh forgot to mention True Tears is a very good romance and drama anime, its worth watching, 3 girls all wanting the main guy :O not really harem lol

Boring to start trust me, but couple episodes in your hooked. Other people is the same lol.

Awsome got gundam to watch and some Rosario Vampire oh yea!

Still progressing through Da Capo, my mind wavers from time to time about the series.

Still pondering about H20 Footprints in the Sand ending... It was freaky, but final end was happy.

Story is guy is blind, heads over to island to stay see if it helps his sight. Meets a spirit who makes him see again. About 9 episodes after and the vison is back to zero, weird thing is, is that the time spent with his eye open makes him feel like a dream, guy cracks and loses it.

Main girl (family is hated very badly, you will see if you watch) reminds the guys mother who killed herself and leaves island to get him sorted as he is now in a chld like state. Girl gives up and jumps infront of a train WTF... she dies lol

Main guy snaps to see the person he loves gone again. Then he can see again...

Years pass by, he returned to island and the spirit comes back with the girl...

Happy end... WTF not realistic

My brief makes it not that strange but if you watch it, it is...

Yeah, True Tears was a very well done show that not a lot of people talked about. Realistic characters, beautiful animation and the ending surprised me. It's a good example of a down-to-earth romance show. (Not quite harem...maybe a love triangle?)

Da Capo ... yeah, it's not the best, but there are very good parts (last 6 episodes or so) in the first season and the second season is reasonable. If you like harem shows, D.C. is a good show. If not, don't bother. And either way, I didn't like D.C.II

Yeah, Kotori's better than Nemu, but I still like Mako and Yoriko's stories better, personally. And they all beat Aisia for the most part :ouch:

Careful not to spoil H2O's ending in your enthusiasm there, I think it's really one of those roller-coaster like shows, and the ending absolutely shocked me! :)

It was a very crazy show that started really bad but it got really gripping by the end, I have to agree that it didn't make a lot of sense but realism was thrown out the window a long time ago for it. I treat it as more of a dramatic work than a realistic one. Then it's fun to watch and see what happens - did you like episode 8 with Otoha? That was one of my favorites for the humor and the randomness - and the final scene...

And Stig, familiar-looking avatar you've got there. :p You're very quick with Higurashi, I'm impressed.

Finally - it feels like I type a lot - anyone else watching Chaos; Head (up to 4) and not understanding it? It feels like I'm watching Higurashi with all the freakiness and how each question answered creates two more questions ... but I can't expect as much blood. Or can I? :scared:

EDIT: Oh, and nissan tuner - I've heard about Capeta, that it's one of the few anime about professional racing, but I never saw it. Can anyone suggest whether it's good or not?

Yes the ending of Otoha... I was like... Okay? sure. Then Hayami returns and Im just speechless lol

Chaos;Head is really good and then really annoying, the delusions seem real and then BAM! not!

Yes more and more questions. Who are those eyes is really annoying me lol.

I dont get the plot lol I see girls with big ass swords... (di-swords???)

Wait, chapter 36 is out!? Is it a raw coming or a scantilation? Need to update on that as well........ :D

Anyone here watch Capeta by any chance? From a quick glance, it looks good
EDIT: Oh, and nissan tuner - I've heard about Capeta, that it's one of the few anime about professional racing, but I never saw it. Can anyone suggest whether it's good or not?
Past the 2/3rds mark in watching it and it's really good in my opinion. ^_^ As for the anime's synopsis...
Taira Kappeita, or Capeta, was a 4th grader boy. He had lost his mother when he had been very little. Although he pretended to be tough in front of his father, actually he felt lonely. One day, his father brought junk parts home from his workplace and made a racing cart. Soon, they went to a circuit to drive the cart. However, Capeta found that its frame was bent and it could hardly run straight. But, with his technique he managed the cart. Furthermore, he followed soon after the fast cart and he could nearly leave it behind. The driver in the cart was Minamoto Naomoi, the champion of the East Japan Junior Cart. Looking at their chase, Naomi’s mother, Minamoto Nanako, advised Capeta to take part in the official race. (Source: ANN)
That was from the MyAnimeList.net page for Capeta. ;)👍

^

Looks like all take a look at Capeta.

Seto No Hanayome OVA subbed is out now.
Ive got some Toradora tonight :)
Da Capo Second season is begining its climax to the end.

Still no word for Stage 5? I really cant wait after re-watching the manga.

I do watch Anime on occasion.

I like a few, JUST a small few though

Basically i like stuff like Neon Genisis Evangelion.

i REALLY got into Escaflowne (the series not the movie)

as well when it was on Cartoon Network i got into Outlaw Star. (so i own it on DVD)

Hellsing is good, i own that

lastly i started Gunslinger Girl and i liked it just never finished it.

but i do likes me some Anime.

not most though, i dislike the stuff they now show on CN, like Naruto and Yugio. :yuck:

I'm now watching Zero no Tsukaima, by the same people as Shakugan no Shana. I'm on the third season right now, and it's not half bad.

Though, I'm not really sure why they chose a Zero Fighter over one of the other fighter planes of the era.
