I wonder how much it'd go for on a Japanese auction site. Probably way more than these artboxes on a Yahoo Japan auction someone posted at Fandom Post.

Rightstuf says only 1,000 were made, and looking at the customer reviews, this set came out in like 2004. Don't know when it came out in Japan as I can't find anything on Amazon Japan or CDJapan.

Holy 🤬, I was reading through the Fate/Zero Blu-ray box thread at Fandom Post to see what went on there (It's not as ugly as ANN, or ugly at all.), and I saw someone post a link to an import Rightstuf once offered. This is the most expensive anime release I've ever seen.

Also wow, that packaging.

I'm very interested in the history behind this set.

I love Tenchi Muyo, but not that much.

*Yawns*

Just woke up from a nappy-nap. $

1200 is a big fat NO. I'd rather spend that on a new PC or something.

Naw, it doesn't have to be the best anime ever. You just have to love it enough to slam down that much. If it were still available, and I had the money, I probably wouldn't buy it as I don't love the show that much. I haven't even seen much of it.

On a side-note, the only other anime I know of that had an MSRP of 100,000 yen was Cardcaptor Sakura, with that going to the first Blu-ray box. The second was much cheaper. On a side-note, here's a funny image (A 2ch screenshot.) from when those were announced I found in an old ANN thread.

Oh how I wish the series was in print here so I could try it. I want to know what the hype this show had during the anime boom is all about.

BTW, what it's going for on Amazon.

Now to watch anime. Going to finally get back to Haruhi after nearly 3 years.

What one chick?

I never saw it. I saw the trailer and was like "Yeah... no."

I have yet to see it (Don't know if I ever will.), but I heard it's one of the worst movies of all time, and can be used as a torturing device.

A-Channel's dumb; it's a waste of time. There are so many other similar shows that are better than it. Want a list?

Well before you do, look at these:

Hanasaku Iroha, a slice of life that isn't just filled with obvious moe cliches.
Kanon (2006), has an actual story and the humour isn't stale.
Nichijou... it's a comedy, period.
K-ON, if you're into moe (which you are)
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, more moe, good moe at that.. followed by the 2009 series and Disappearance of Haruhi.
