We love it because it's crosses the whole "🤬 just got real line". Honestly... I don't see what's wrong with it. You keep crapping everywhere about how Fate/Zero excels in character development and then say "meh" when Puella Magi 10 is all :censored:ing character development. And not just for Homura, Madoka gets her share too. Oh and
Mami does as well. Showing how innocent she truly was.
Fate/Zero and Madoka are different shows though. The way they do character development is much different, even though Gen Urobochi worked on both titles (Madoka: Scriptwriter; F/Z: Writer of the novels the anime is based off of). The way Madoka does it is just good for me, Fate/Zero does it in a really awesome way.
You'll see for yourself once you actually start watching Fate/Zero. Though I do wonder if like AOS- you'll be bored to death from episode 11, one of the best episodes in the entire show.
Sounds like a whole lotta nothing, in a war, with talking. Lemme guess, they have a tea party and talk it out instead of fighting? Kinda strange how it takes them 13 episodes for someone to die.
Madoka has alright character development..... and then you throw the final 3 episodes in there and it's all like whoa.
If you try Shana, I highly recommend either dropping it after season 2, or skipping straight to episode 24 for season 3 as season 3 is basically garbage.
BTW, you need to try Kids on the Slope, it's awesome.

Well for starters, Shana isn't a comedy. Secondly, Shana bombed in the end and for the most part mediocre. I recommend against TC's suggestion of dropping it after season 2 and instead I believe you should not even bother watching it at all. There's no point leaving a show unfinished, so save yourself the 48 episodes worth of time and watch other stuff.
As for what you listed, go with Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. I cannot wait until you grow out of those kinds of shows. Very much surprised you're older than me too.
