Finally got my Beach Queens Saber/Zero. Nice figure, and I really like the original illustration it's based on. I do have to be a super Fate fanboy and point out that the illustration and figure don't actually make any sense because Saber can't swim during Fate/Zero. (She doesn't learn to swim until Shirou teaches her in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.)

Does it really matter when there's swimsuits involved?

I don't know Manglobe's reputation... people on SRK were interested and I figured it might be worth trying.

Yes, I'm bandwagoning. They showed me Madoka, JoJo and a few other wicked shows. Got a problem? :p
They're most well-known for Deadman Wonderland, House of Five Leaves, Ergo Proxy, Samurai Champloo, Michiko to Hatchin, The World God Only Knows, and this show which is considered to be one of the worst anime in existence (It's what gives them their bad name the most by far).

I'm in the very small minority of people who found it good (Barely), and liked it.

Blacksmith bad ?

I liked it and it would be a tie up between Champloo and that to which I liked better .

I liked Deadman Wonderland the best of that list and haven't even heard of the others actually .

Deadman Wonderland turned out dumb... Apparently, Ergo Proxy did too. Both shows have awesome premises, but it flopped. DW's manga I heard is doing good though.

World God only Knows could have been better but it sold out to moe losers from the get-go.

Ugh, I tried to watch that Blacksmith show because a friend (who's an idiot and not my friend anymore) recommended it. Couldn't even finish a single episode.

Actually forgot that was there I did see that aswell and it wasn't that bad it had the best story out of most of them.

Blacksmith was a lackluster but was entertaining but your experience with it was what i thought of Gurren Laggen incidentally.

Deadman Wonderland had the premise for a story that would easily be likable and superior to World God Only Knows.

Aw, I had heard god stuff about Ergo Proxy. I'll have to see, but I'm truly getting tired of one disappointment after another.

It kept me watching until the end but when I thought about it, the ending went some different direction where they jammed a bunch of random vague concepts down your throat and somehow you make sense of all it.

Ergo Proxy was disappointing? Ergo Proxy was awesome.

Since I'm considered the most unreliable source on this forum and ARM for anime, go talk to Loli about it. He felt the show was awesome as well.

He's a sucker for psychological themes and I doubt he understood all of Ergo Proxy to explain the point of the ending.

That's not a PVC. It's a doll, but after seeing this, I kinda wished PVCs showed some hints of tangible lashes.

That expression is going to open up opportunities for nendo collectors to create perverted humour photos.

I doubt it a bit too, but one thing you have to remember is the ending is a very small fraction of the show. Just because the ending is bad does not mean the rest of the show is the same.

Bad ending=/=Bad show

No, but why would you still credit a show if it blows the ending? Are you going to tell someone to watch a show and then bounce half way through? That's weird.

"Oh hey, this movie was good, you should watch it... just don't watch the last bit.

Yeah, after this scene, just stop. Get up and walk out of the the theatre..."

You're never going to meet someone who's going to tell you that.

Ergo Proxy was hella cool and I found the story to be pretty awesome. Does it make sense? I don't know, I'd have to look back on everything. I remember making sense of it at some point, though, but as Andy-chama said, there's a crapload of concepts that are crammed in there at the end. It all kind of builds up to it, but it's still a bit.. much.

I enjoyed Ergo Proxy though. Great atmosphere, characters and the story was pretty great. Maybe I'm just a sucker for psychological breakdowns.

You very much are.

The drive of the story at first was to learn more about the totalitarian society and how it's been creating its own truth to cover up reality that is a decimated earth forever in ruin. Lil Mayer, the protag, or was, went out to uncover the truth on her own after becoming suspicious of Vincent.

After learning about what these proxies are, the plot now shifts over to Vincent learning about himself and trying to regain his memories by returning to his homeland, only to turn around back to where he started his journey from since someone decided to blow it up.

Now we're back at dystopia-land and now Vincent fights a proxy who looks exactly like him... talk for the longest time, fight, and then that world crumbles.

Because overall it's good. I've seen plenty of shows with 🤬 endings, and many were still good (Others, they were never good to begin with) as overall they're good.

You shouldn't just say "Screw this." if just the ending is bad. You don't want to be like this person.

So did I mention that we just watched through Mayo Chiki!

Liked it more than I expected. Konoe is the obvious choice for the main character but I liked Suzutsuki. Aggressive tsunderes that aren't too tsun and have twintails are hot. She does remind me a little too much of Tohsaka though.

Bad ending=/=Bad show

The ending is not a "very small fraction of the show". Just because the last episode of, say, a 26-episode series technically only makes up 1/26th of the show's runtime, that doesn't mean its quality only affects ~4% of the show's overall quality.

Stories are meant to have conclusions. Satisfying ones. ****ing up the ending is way worse than having a bad episode somewhere towards the middle or beginning of the show. Ruining the conclusion could, in some extreme cases, ruin the whole story that's been built up to that point.

Ugh, somebody (Sentai Filmworks preferably) needs to pick up the Zero no Tsukaima license. I'm trying to convert this torrented version to work on my PS3 and the stupid subs won't work no matter what I do, except the one time I accidentally converted it with an English dub. This is why I like using official streaming services or just buying DVD/BDs...

The plot, the fact it's part of the Gundam franchise. I need to see more Gundams.

I've seen only: Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED (Not season 2 which is considered one of the worst anime in existence by far and Gundam fans don't want to speak of it ever), SD Gundam, and 00 (Both seasons-only Gundam I've completed). Best one was 00, but that may change once I see Turn-A Gundam and G-Gundam.

I really liked SEED Destiny!

First I saw Gundam Wing when it first came out on Cartoon Network probably over 10 years ago now, then later saw Gundam SEED and G-Gundam few years later, followed by earlier this year I saw Gundam 00 and Gundam Seed Destiny.

Personally I loved them all. Other than that I could count the Anime I've seen on one hand.

Dragonball / DBZ - Loved this, saw DBZ in my early teens and was obsessed with it. Later saw the original Dragonball and loved that too (if not more), then I saw DBGT and really didn't like it at all, meh.

Ninja Scroll - Some movie I saw when I was a kid, thought it was awesome as ****, it was the first anime I'd ever seen.

Naruto - I started watching this this year, loved it initially but the ridiculous ammount of filler that comes in and continues right up until the end of the series really pissed me off. I've heard about filler in anime a lot and that was usually what made me put off watching it. That said I pushed through to the Shippeden and it picked up on the storyline again, only watched a couple of episodes so far. When you aren't being bombarded with filler this is really great.

Not really sure what else I would like, the filler really pisses me off. Gundam didn't really have a lot of filler, maybe 1 episode out of the whole 50 in a series. Would love to see more of it but I don't think there are english dubs of the other stuff.

You could watch Dragonball Kai, is the original DGZ in HD without fillers.
Fullmetal Alchemist is a great anime to watch and have eng dub.

Oh I already saw DragonBall Kai, seemed to be without filler but with also some of the lines changed, a little bit of the plot or original story/lore gets botched about a bit, so watching it was sort of a confusing and annoying (but still enjoyable) experience. I didn't mind the filler so much in DBZ as it wasn't excessive, and with DBZ Kai it just left me scratching my head a lot at the changes.

Full Metal Alchemist and Bleach are two that my sister recommended to me, but then I had a friend who recommended I didn't bother due to over the top ammounts of filler! I don't think I can deal with what Naruto did again... suck you into this great storyline and then stop it dead for a good 80 episodes of garbage before ending the series completely.

The people who like Dragonball and Naruto, usually like watch Bleach and FMA.
Bleach have a great protagonist(Ichigo) and have epics fights like DBZ, but in 366 episodes 150 are fillers:tdown:.
FMA brotherhood, not the first anime, have only 2 filler episodes.

The first 2 seasons of Naruto are absolutly amazing, but after the naruto/sasuke fight until the end is only crap fillers.
The 2nd part(Shippuden) until invasion of the Pain is good to watch, but after the Pain arc the serie is getting worst and worst.
