In all honesty, people will question the whole schoolgirl thing. They'll find it creepy. I question the whole schoolgirl thing. I find it creepy. Personally it doesn't stop me from liking things as long as they're well written and animated, but I certainly enjoyed Haruhi less as a result of Haruhi's molester attitude.

Actually, that's just Haruhi's molester attitude and nothing to do with the schoolgirl thing at all... Probably why I preferred the film so much actually...

Also, Harry Potter is not an anime.

In reality "the running man" actually came up in my searches while I was trying to see if GXP was the right show.

In other news, I had a strange encounter with the girl I mentioned last week; she (assuming was joking) asked me if I was going to be a pedobear because of my current laptop background (I'm putting it at the bottom of this post), and the fact that she doesn't have any of the "usual things guys like" and I just told her that in universe she's our age, and I'm different, etc. She also asked me what series she was from and stuff (she, as I mentioned, watched anime for a while), but I have no idea what to make of that...

I wrote a massive post on Tumblr about why lolicon isn't paedophilia, but it covers some pretty controversial themes, and probably isn't TOS-friendly.

It is paedophilia, just a particular variation on it.

If someone is sexually attracted to Haruhi meanwhile, there's no paedophilia there, just ephebophilia, a fetish for cartoon people, and a possible tendency to fantasise about being sexually harassed by highschoolgirls. Not as creepy as lolicon, but still fairly creepy. Mainly because of the last part to be honest.

Now, can we move away from the topic of paedophilia, and back onto anime?

Obviously excluding Ghibli, who would you say the best animation studio (in terms of animation quality, rather than what it is they're animating) in Japan is right now? I think there are several strong competitors, and I'd be interested to hear your opinions.

And as for why I'm not putting down P.A. Works, the stuff they work on typically is very, very good when it comes to artwork (Especially the backgrounds), but the animation itself is not that good.

That song is so beautiful. Everything Cornelius creates is gold. Definitely will be buying this single. I love Cornelius. They chose the right person to do the music. Ghost Whispers is right around the corner. Hope Cornelius does a collaboration with Buffalo Daughter.

Why yes, I wanted to make things more interesting and revamp the forum, but I knew very well it had failed,
plus, you have to be more popular so that people take interest on what this newbie fourm poster (me) has posted.

I think it was a misunderstanding (just from the looks of it).

I'd say between those two vids I'd rule with Ken Shiro simply for nostalgia. I enjoyed FOTNS back then and still enjoy it now, especially some of the OVAs that were recently made...
 
Finished RWBY. Awesome series. Can't wait for Season 2. And for those who complain about the animation and fight scenes...It's Monty Ohm. Google "Agent Tex fight scene" and you'll get another Monty Ohm fight scene that's VERY similar. Or "Haloid." It's just Monty's style, and I'm actually very fine with it. It's over the top and it's designed to be and it's the artist's signature.

Probably won't be watching too much anime until I get a tablet and Netflix.
