Bunta had his moments actually. I always laugh in that part where he goes out to use the AE86 and instead finds Itsuki's AE85 sitting in the driveway. :D
Or when he goes driving with his friend Yuuichi and in the middle of a drift he starts looking for a cig in his shirt pocket. :lol:
 
ah, yeah. the dude is dang-crazy. I liked that part too. "I just felt like havin' a cigar" and the other dude is almost dying from the Gs. yeah. :D
 
I love watching the evolution of initial D as it progresses, from the character designs to the quality of their cg. I believe initial d has captured the essence of driving, at leatst for me anyway, the cars are not all done up with visual upgrades, they are not designed for one purpose, they are real cars, with real people driving them, most of whom just love to drive. One thing i've noticed is how you can match the personalities of the characters to the company of car that they drive, you know?
eg: iketani is just kind of you average guy, likes cmechanical bits, and just fits the nissan personality so well. The empire team to me fitys perfectly with mitsubishi, think you have the power house evo's and all the empire team are big muscular guys with pretty big egos, etc :)
 
Itsuki being a small guy and owning a SOHC Levin, that fits quite nicely.
And if you really want to stretch it: Mako and Sayuki, two different people combining their abilities, much like the Sileighty combining two diff cars (180SX/Silvia)

0083 tried to induce some realtionship story drama convinetley at the end, soooo lame for a war story :lol: caught me off guard, and hocking up corn nutz.

ah yess fmp, i was gonna say something about it, had an awome first few eps, but kinda got stupid as it progressed....

yeah gt3 is fun, i am not looking forward to redoing all the licenses, and what happened to the used car lot?! you cant even get any of the older cars anymmore, like the 91' twin turbo supra, in gt2 that wsa my best set up car :(

quiet you, i can like what ever cars i want, and fyi i dont likejust like Japanese cars, plus most of your domestic cars cant turn for ****, no good to me. you want american and eurpean cars only play need for speed, gt is a Japanese series and has evry right no choose the cars from their country just as america does with all of their games....
 
full metal panic has its moments, about 98% cliched moments.

anyone seen nadesico? ok in the movie ruri (age 10) becomes the captain, in FMP she reappears only with a different name, but i swear its the same girl.

only seen the 1st 2 vol. but the whole speel with the "ancients" brought me back to FFVII big time.

for the battle scenes its a good watch :)

Wow... I just noticed that this thread has 1000 plus post.

Great, Im suprised, when I first got here and was struggling to make that post count get to a point where a custom avatar was an option, I created this thread.

I love anime and figured that since there wasn't an anime thread, I should go ahead and start one...

A rocky start it was and for the longest time I never bothered with the thread, I even thought it faded away.

Turns out, there are tons of people here who love anime and I was just one of them.

Thanks for keeping this sucker alive fellas, without that, I would have had to make a new anime thread every week or so. ;)

btw, fmp isn't bad if you ask me. It's not my favorite, but Im surely not gonna act like I hated it.

Did I also see talk of nadesico above? I love that series in general, so that was cool. (if it wasn't brought up then just note my comments on the fact that nadesico was pretty cool and worth checking out.)
