In other news, one of Australia's (two) anime licensing companies are doing a little giveaway competition for the DVD collection of Welcome to the NHK! I've read the manga on my computer a while back, and this has reminded me of how much I loved it. I think I might have to buy it in the following weeks... Hopefully the content isn't censored or edited in any way compared to what I read in the fan scanlations I have.

Finished EoE but was heavily mind****ed, I skipped parts. I was able to finish it 'till the ending though. To be honest, I didn't like how the ending came up, but I was able to reflect on life after watching. Shinji's ordeal is very poignant, and so is his own self. It's a good thing 3.0 will come to our screens soonish, and because of me spoiling my own self, I have a bit of an idea on how the Rebuild series will end.
Seing that the Brony Instrumentality Project is underway, I'll try comparing NGE to MLP. I've seen a remarkable difference in how the plot was written up. MLP is somewhat conventional. It's nice alright but it's really predictable. It's always a case where our little ponies would win the conflict in each episode. It's childish as hell. Not my cup of tea (anymore). The rise of a new species commonly called "Brony" started simply because MLP went viral and small-minded people (I apologize if you get hit by this, but this is just satire) followed the spell of Twilight Sparkle, or whatever that pony's name is.
I'm at a loss of words for NGE because of how mind-boggling it is. While I have this feeling that everything could have been better, there's always a chance to contemplate on life itself. People think animes are just insane shows full of sexual innuendos and gore, but they are just being naive themselves. I have this friend who's a major fan of Naruto, an anime I used to keep watching years ago. She said that we all have these special abilities because we need to protect a special someone. You don't need cheesy, completely moral and bloodless shows to learn a lesson. It's just how we guys like it and how the story writer does his thing best. NGE is just that, there's a food for thought hidden in a pool of LCL.
The only similarity... is right in the three letters beside M, L and P. F, I and M. Friendship is Magic. If only you could have took that idea at least, Shinji. If only. Tsk.

OK, thanks. I have 2 or 3 questions about "K-ON!". Are they a rock band? How I watching it? I already looking it up on Amazon, and about $30 for each vol. on season 1. Did Bandai planing to release K-ON! season 1 or 2 complete collection? 💡
