Some thoughts:
1. Needed more Asuka, so I'm excited for Quickening
2. Rei was more likeable than the original series. A little less bland as a character and more attractive thanks to the improved animation.
3. Shinji was still annoying, but not as. So I can put the table down for now...... or not! （╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
4. The credits song was great, but the song during the final fight didn't fit at all. It pissed me off.
5. Test plugsuit Asuka is HNNNNNNNGGGG. Damn right it's revealing, Asuka!
6. Mari is hot.

Now that is what I wanna SEE.

Nope, that's the end of it. The movies is the whole series compressed into 2 movies. The second one is definitely worth watching though, there's some changes, and it's more epic.
