Someone a few pages back mentioned Akira.

That film didn't make much sense toward the end. The manga did make a lot more sense (still confusing though) and there was a proper story line going through it all. The film was going quite well, then it had to skip quite a large part of the story to finish it all without it being too long.

Although Akira (film) drawings are FANTASTIC for the age and the time. Its amazing to think it's all hand drawn....

Yeah Saber is pretty badass. This reminds I still need to watch Unlimited Blade Works lol. I'll probably do that today.


Today's AEAD = :drool: (actually in the first one I just realized where the end of the stethoscope is and then I lol'd. I can hear the ocean!)

Damn! I was hoping to have a huge fan boy rant with you fellows.

Also, that's my forté it seems, disappear for 3 months, reappear and recommend a series, then disappear again. Maybe try Kaiji, don't be put off by the art, it's a great show very tense. I'll be back in January to see what you made of it.

I don't even know where to start here. If there's one thing I really can't stand it's ignorance and hypocrisy. You are a fan of a children's cartoon, yet don't want to get into another country's cartoons. You admitted yourself you've seen hardly any, yet the anime you told us you did see didn't have any of the problems you claim to have with anime. I don't mean to offend here, but... seriously? C'mon man, put a little consideration and research into things. Open your mind.

I really get irked when people hear "anime" and think "tentacle rape and little girls, and busty women in bikinis". Surely they've seen Pokemon and DBZ, right? I mean, that's the mainstream thing right, why is that not what everyone thinks of?
Another thing that kind of annoys me is how westerners, if not confusing anime for porn, simply assume that since our cartoons are for kids, other countries' are too. Things just don't work that way halfway across the world.


Ergh, man, sorry 'bout that little venting session guys. After getting sparked up I have to get it off my chest... Maybe my next post I'll make up for it with an image and song dump or something.
And I know my posts can get long, but that makes up for me not posting as frequently as you guys :p
