The physics in Auto Modellista was terrible. But I really liked that game too. I don't remember what car I did the engine swap on though.

But Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, I was hooked on that game. I defeated every racer, except the one where you needed a gameshark because of a money glitch. My 2JZ FD RX7 was a beast!

Auto Modellista was challenging and a lot of fun!

The Tokyo Xtreme Races games were good too.

Hello new person!

Auto Modellista had whack physics, but I REALLY love everything about the game except the driving... Have you ever played a racing game that used cel-shading as it's render-medium.... and looked that good? No, exactly! Personalizing your own garage was so much fun, colouring individual parts of the car and the menu interface was wicked. the Menu and Garage BGM was so much fun to listen to.
You can layer graphics but on each part of the car you only get 1000 layers and that Asuka graphic takes up all 1000.
Then whoever made that did a horrible job :p What constitutes to a layer anyway? One Stroke per layer? :odd:

Hey guys, I'm looking for some good anime to watch. It's been some time I don't watch any. I guess the latest ones I watched were Death Note and Code Geass (which I'm now rewatching). I had a look at the Anime Appreciation Club (and also joined btw, hope that's ok) and saw that Steins;Gate is the most recommended one under Sci-fi. I was hopping someone could give me a quick rundown or maybe even recommend me something else.

Just finished the first episode of Guilty Crown. That was awesome! And I would definitely "use" that pink haired girl.

Every individual shape is a layer. And whoever made that did a pretty good job.

Evangelion. :)

Sena(the second girl from the right) looks awesome too. :3

So here I am giving a listen to the Soul Eater OSTs, and being absolutely surprised at how good these are. So I go AniDB the thing and find out they are by Taku Iwasaki!!! No wonder. The show seems to be a fun watch. Anyone seen it? I seem to remember Sly-guy mentioning it.

I love Soul Eater. Manga is still on-going so about halfway thru it's all original. I recommend it though, I think it has something everyone likes. It's not like Inu Yasha or other Shounens with a lot of fillers.

Then they should have used less... like vectoring it like I did with BRS....
Anyone seen it?
Art style's unique, I got bored of the show however.... can't do 51 episodes.. that alone already tells you there's more filling in that than 3 24" boston cream pies.

Steins;Gate is fantastic. It's best to watch it with as little info about it as possible. :)

I see, that's a good sign actually

I guess I'll download a few episodes and see if I like it.

Evangelion. :)

I suppose I can say I've watched my fair share of anime. I got most of the old school stuff covered :p

I've been out of the anime "scene" for a few years though, so I'm really clueless as to the new stuff worth watching. I'd say three years old more or less.

I recommend Bokurano. Be careful looking it up though... don't wanna spoil the fun. :p

To give you the basic premise: A group of kids explore a cave and find a bunch of computers and a man living inside. The man says he's developing a game involving giant robots and he invites the kids to beta test it for him. But the game turns out to be very, very real.

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Steins;Gate are good too.

My internet is terrible right now... going to have to watch my shows later 👎.... I also feel awful so I'm going to lay down..

Let's see... comedy... Clannad is pretty funny at times. Um... K-ON! has a funny part, I think....

Great Teacher Onizuka is good, but a bit old and dated.
Puni Puni Poemi is absolutely nuts, but certainly funny.

Hmm. The best recent funny anime I'd recommend is Bakuman.

The other's recommendations are probably good too, I just haven't seen 'em.

But that reminds me... Bakuman > Steins;Gate, Loliblade. :)

Did watch a bit of Clannad but that's not my thing. Felt too much like a Japanese version of The OC, too much teen drama going on. Come to think of it, I did like School Rumble which is basically the same thing, but it's over the top humor got me laughing and the teen drama was mostly secondary in it.

GTO is a quite awesome classic, seen it already unfortunately.

I do remember hearing about this Puni Puni Poemi, does it have something to do with Excel Saga by any chance? I get this connection between the two in the back of my mind for some reason.

I'll have a look at this Bakuman I guess. What is it roughly about?

Will have a look at Nichijou too, reminds me of School Rumble, and that's a good thing :)

Bakuman's about two boys who wanna become manga artists.

I recommend Angel Beats if you're so down for comedy.

And Bakuman is like those inspirational stories, just less tragedy like inspirational films based on a true story...
