Glad to see we hit 1000!
Keep enjoying and love the pictures, keep it up yall.

Btw, any Naruto readers here? How about the developments in the last two issues?
Great stuff!
I'm a fan of both the manga and anime, though I consider it pretty overrated. Though I'm only as far as the US Shonen Jump is which is like a year behind Japan. Now when Shonen Jump Alpha launches, I'll be 2 weeks behind Japan.
Completely out of nowhere I started watching Bleach. I have no idea why but, I did. And I'm kinda liking it so far. There's no way I'm watching the next 337 episodes though
It's at 344 episodes right now, and it entered a new arc. Bleach may be good, but Tite Kubo takes forever to get his point across and there's so much filler as he fails to use enough dialogue, and smaller panels.
I'm willing to give it a try though. Just keep the anime suggestions coming because they've all been good so far :)
I think I may recommend you some. For now though, I highly, highly, highly recommend Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal. An absolutely epic, critically acclaimed 4 episode OVA. Many consider it a movie.
Nice. :D

I should get back to that series sometime. Recent events have watching that title put to the back burner. I wonder if the streaming for that title is on niconico.com though. It is under the FUNi(mation) umbrella after all.
It's still on Hulu, both the dub and sub. NicoNico hasn't really added much anime currently.

Anyway, another ANN review for Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal is out.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/rurouni-kenshin/trust-and-betrayal/blu-ray-limited-edition
ANN this time reviewed the BD LE import from Aniplex USA, and gave the OVA it's highest overall score yet, an A+ (A score that's extremely rare for them to give out.) for the sub, and an A for the dub. If you haven't seen this already, I heavily, heavily recommend it, even if you have no intention of watching Rurouni Kenshin which is 95 episodes. It's my favorite OVA of all-time, and it's such a brilliantly made OVA.

I was skeptical about how much I would like it before I watched the livestream NicoNico had over the Summer, and I was completely blown away. Acts 1 and 2 are kinda meh, but things pick up so much it's unbelievable in acts 3 and 4. I hadn't seen any Rurouni Kenshin before it, and you don't really get lost.

It's not really shocking for me to see it still ranked 11th on MAL, 14th on Anime Planet, and 4th on ANN (Weighted Average) in the user ratings.

Man I badly want the BD already so I can rewatch it again and again (The DVD is long out of print BTW like all the other Rurouni Kenshin OVA DVD's.).:(:(:(

I want VIP access.:(

Is it because I'm under 100 posts, have posted only in this thread (I will post outside it once I get around to actually playing GT3 and GT4.), and or like the big 3?:grumpy:

-> So there will be a new Ruruoni Kenshin series? My friend will go nuts about this!! :)

Everyone -> So what you guys think about the prologue?

Apparently yes, but the news on that new Rurouni Kenshin is pretty vague, and they're keeping us in the dark. I still have yet to get through the original Rurouni Kenshin (Unfortunately Sony dubbed. Why couldn't anyone legally stream the sub or Media Blasters dub?<_<). I've watched just episodes 1-39 so far. Almost done with season 2, and then it's onto season 3 which I've heard is entirely filler.

-> Its pretty hard for me to keep up with some of my Anime series up. This Nichojou anime has that Azumanga/Minami-ke/Ichigo Mashimaro/Lucky Star feel to it!

^ Oh I see, same goes with Initial D 5th Stage. :indiff:

Sorry, I didn't read it :p
^ Its ok! :sly:

I prefer the piano version.

I think it fits with what I'm doing right now. I'm patiently waiting. And thinking about ordering pizza.

Speaking of Nichijou, for those who didn't already know, it sold poorly in Japan. It won't get a second season ever. Nice how this news came after Bandai Entertainment licensed it.<_<

I'm not sure if I'm going to try it.

Commercially it didn't sell well. But the show itself is very, very good. But it doesn't get really good until episode 15 or so.

It definitely warrants to be watched. It's not moe like K-On or Lucky Star (both of which aren't that funny). But moe is what sells.

Regardless I'm buying it. I'm glad that the manga got licensed too. I think Nichijou would sell better in America anyways.

And this is what happens 10 minutes AFTER you've ordered your pizza...

while he stares so anxiously as his clock, tension rises!
he can't take it anymore! he flips out and keeps looking out the window for the pizza man while checking back at his watch every 5 seconds! "It feels like I've waited for hours!"
*rolls on the floor*
*walks circles in the room*
*peeping through the door hole every now and then*
*sweat dripping down his face*

Well even with our sales, it won't really help. The main market is Japan, and if a show does bad there (TV ratings never are all that great, so they don't help much.), our sales won't help it continue there. Our sales have little affect on what happens in Japan, but they at least have more than no affect at all.

Which is why there's the manga. Lucky Star sold well but it never got a second season. The manga is still on going.

I would love Nichijou to have a second season though.

So what does it matter if it only lasts one season?

Kind of a silly reason to consider not trying it...

I never said I wasn't going to try it because of it having only one season, and selling bad. I had been on the fence for months before that news came out.

Might as well try it along with Tiger & Bunny sometime. Though I'll have a lot of anime to catch-up on first when I get back home. Currently where I'm at, I can't watch anything really and I won't be back home until Sunday (It's kinda hard to explain.).
