Just don't stop watching it. It's gets supremely awesome. Then Gurren Hen takes the ending and makes it ungodly awesome.

I haven't watched any of the movies. However I thought the entire show was pretty awesome.
 
Honey and Clover .. really i found that one also a litte blan seemed like a good story but at the time i wasnt in the mood for a seires like this.

Of course, you could just watch the last 10 or so minutes of Gurren Hen. The ending fight scene is different.

Or I can just post it and spoil it for everyone

I just felt a stronger connection to it. Like, how they played out in the forest and made secret bases. I did that too when I was a kid.

FUNi needs to license it.
 
Watched like 3 or 4 episodes of AnoHana. Never really connected to it, didn't really care for what was going on :3
