I only knew until recently that credit cards didn't equal infinite money either. :indiff:
 
If you have a credit card and use it enough, it'll feel like it.

It's why I avoid paying by interac, but as of late, because I kept forgetting to withdraw money, I've been making a whole bunch of small transactions with it...
 
When I was a kid, I didn't know how credit cards or checks worked either... they seemed infinite, but I was smart and knew that there was no way they could actually be infinite, so I ended up just being very confused about what the hell they were for. :lol:

It doesn't suck as hard as Yumekui Merry's ending. Jesus Christ. I'm a fan of the manga, and what they did to the adaption was an insult. Even the mangaka thought the adaption sucked. :grumpy:

Manga is usually better anyway. No filler, it gives you the whole story (Most anime based off of manga never cover all the chapters. Rave Master, 51 episodes covered 12/35 volumes of the manga.), and many other things. Plus sometimes the adaption can make your eyes roll. Rosario + Vampire and Rosario + Vampire Capu2 suck compared to the manga.

Anyway Soul Eater 50-51
The Kishin stabs Death the Kid with his finger, and ruins his chance to use a very powerful attack. But wait, he's up but unconscious and uses a massively powerful attack beating the Kishin's huge form!! Gah, now he's back up again in his regular form.:grumpy:

As for Maka, her figuring out that the Soul she was seeing was actually that little demon. That part was kinda lame when she saved Soul, and then Soul eat's the little demon.

Episode 51, wow, at the beginning everyone is beaten to a pulp. And the Kishin didn't get hit by the Genie Hunter, and the Kishin Hunter didn't work on him. He broke it. Also Maka was a Meister born of Weapon blood? That explains the scythes she used then after Soul went down, and she got hit by the Kishin's attack to protect him.

The last couple minutes are kinda horrible. The Kishin starts to lose his mind, and then Maka beats him with one stupid punch, and then bam, everything is back to normal.:dunce:

Reminds me of how the Naruto movie final fights aren't all that great due to how those last fights end usually.
The verdict: The ending really does suck, good lord. This is one of the worst endings I've ever seen in an anime. The show sets up so much momentum, and then it falls flat on it's face the last couple minutes of episode 51.

Much like Yumekui Merry, they made the baddie much too powerful. But minus the ending, I still like Soul Eater, it just fell flat on it's face at the end whereas Yumekui Merry was a downward spiral with no chance of recovery from episode 5.

I kinda hope they do what they did with FMA. But Soul Eater's manga is still ongoing and some of the characters are very different in the manga.

Personally what happened to Maka, I thought it was badass. When it happened, I was like, WTF, then remembered Spirit is a scythe.

Right, what anime should I watch next? I've got it narrowed down to Excel Saga, Madoka and Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah I still really liked Soul Eater in the end, that bad ending couldn't drag it down much.

Also yeah I hope they give it the Brotherhood treatment, but they can't do that until the mangaka announces the series is close to finishing. When Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood started, Hiromu Arakawa announced she was finishing it, and in the end the manga ended weeks before the anime. They ended at around the exact same time. With how Soul Eater re-aired once (I think in the prime time slot again like when it first aired.) with new openings and endings, it shows a good sign since anime re-airing is such an extremely rare thing.

On a side-note, I want to get the 4 parts before they're gone, and then I'll double dip on the BD collections (Since I like both DVD and BD.:p). I remember when those parts first came out, hell there was this.:lol:

Can't say anything for Madoka as I haven't watched it, but watch Cowboy Bebop and then Excel Saga. Excel Saga and Cowboy Bebop are MUST SEE shows.
 
Rewatching Soul Eater dubbed whenever I get the series on DVD will take some time getting used to. Black*Star (Note, he was voiced by a female in the Japanese version also.) and Death the Kid's English voices I'm not too fond of, especially Black*Stars. It's been a while since I last heard these clips, and that was before the show came out.

Maka's english VA is much better than her japanese VA. No voice cracking here. I found that Soul's english VA did a really good job.

Death the Kid, Lord Death & Black Star I wasn't too fond of. Actually, I'm not fond of anything Black Star.
