^ You look a lot like someone who's looking for an argument with him, for someone who's not looking for an argument with him. I'm not the only one to tell you this and I've been in this thread long enough to know the people who voiced their thoughts aren't the only ones who feel this way. People around here care little about this kind of talk and I don't blame them. I'm aware too that my insistence to point this out to you is also annoying, so I'm dropping the subject.

That being said, Madoka is very good. But as I've argued before, it's not as original as some people think it is.

With so many shows around I'm surprised these days some shows can still manage to be original at all. As long as it brings something new to the table, I'm already happy concerning originality.

A show's rank is pretty meaningless, FYI.
Now to be serious, not really, It's just what it's ranked based off of a mean score from everyone who's rated it (And seen at least 1/5 of the show apparently.). Everyone is going to have different feelings about an anime.

For instance, you think Spirited Away sucks, but the vast majority of people find it a masterpiece, and thanks to all the high ratings, it's ranked 19th on MAL.

About to start the last episode of FMAB, which I'm guessing is just a bit of fluff showing what happens to all the characters now that everything's over.

I recall a couple people saying that the ending wasn't what they were expecting, but I personally don't see anything wrong with it. Typical shounen stuff... if you were expecting/wanting it to go in a different direction, then maybe you just picked the wrong show to watch. :p'

Whoa, whoa. I think Spirited Away sucks? 5 is average, I scored Spirited Away a 6. That means I thought it was alright, but frankly one of Miyazaki's weaker films.

It's about combining existing ideas in interesting new ways. Madoka combined a lot of ideas in a near-identical fashion to an anime from just 4 years ago, with just one main element changed. (Robot pilots -> Magical Girls)

Indeed, it's typical shounen stuff, which is why I don't hold it against it. It is underwhelming though, I was hoping it would push the shounen boundaries a bit. I guess that's why I was a bit disappointed.

Well it was in Monthly Shonen Gangan, so you're stuck having to stick with Shonen elements and not push boundaries much, not as hardcore as Weekly Shonen Jump though where they care so much about the Shonen aspect since it is the best-selling Shonen manga magazine in Japan.

No, not annoying, just not fully realized perhaps.

Me pointing out some of the awkwardness in his posts is an attempt to get him to improve his posting quality, and perhaps develop his skills in debate and discussion. Perhaps because I was once a bit poor with those skills as well. Minus you and jeff, the other members are more in on the joke of my liking to argue so to speak, so I think you might be reading into it a bit much.

Or you can continue to tell me about the posting habits of members that I've been interacting with longer than you've been on the board. Really, your choice.

As for Spirited Away, I enjoyed it when I last watched it, but there were several parts that just didn't impress me much. It might be rated very highly on MAL, but what is popular doesn't always mean what is best. Citing numbers in this day and age is even less meaningful, when reviewers tend to just hand out 8 to 10 scores for many things.

Or maybe I'm just too critical, as I rarely think anything is a 9 or 10, because there are always flaws in it, somewhere. Which in turn makes me question anyone that hands out perfect reviews regularly.

FMA:B had a nice ending, I feel. They tied everything up in a clean fashion without trying to answer to everything. Which I think is the fastest way to ruin the ending of something, by over doing it. Or pulling an E7 :|

How could anyone dislike the ending of the series? The original anime I can get how people would dislike the ending due to how kinda lame it was, but FMA:B's?

Well, I wouldn't say I have a problem with it... I don't... as I said before it fits the anime quite well. It was an ending that was expected for it's genre, there is nothing inherently wrong with that, but I guess that in itself is what makes it underwhelming.

Finished the last episode. T'was a nice, satisfying conclusion.

8/10
Now all you have left is just the movie. I still have yet to see this, probably will watch it whenever it comes out here.

So much for the absence, I've been to the mall 2 days in a row and updating GT5 is a pain in the ass :ouch: I had to wake up on 5 am in the morning to start the update and luckily it's done on around 10 or 11 am. Right before my lunch.

Good morning! *gulps down Asuka's Red Bull*

I've made an Asuka itasha in FM4, but it's not on the fastest RUF. I also want to make a Mari itasha, but I can't decide on which British racing car I wanna use. #1stworldproblems

Don't go Rebecca Black on me now :grumpy:

Damn Madoka Magi has balls. Some pretty huge fu***** balls. It's good to see they still make shows like that. And I still have 4 episodes to go.

I love it's style. So artistic, incredibly well directed. The animation is really something else, it doesn't cease to impress me.

On a more lighthearted note, turns out Kyouko is a softie deep down. It's ok, I was expecting that... still love her :3

That's where I started liking her :3

The show wrapped up the main story pretty tightly, so I'm guessing that movie is just a side-adventure of the Elric brothers. I'll probably watch it eventually, but it's not urgent.

Anyway, now that FMAB is out of the way, here's what my current line-up of shows is:

Blue Submarine No. 6, Wolf's Rain, Monster, Mobile Fighter G Gundam

I've been curious about the second season of Black Butler... after the conclusion of the first, it seems odd that there's a second... owait, new butler and master... well that's a bit pointless then, my favourite part of the first season Ciel isn't in it... except MAL says he is, and this review says he is! 🤬 logic, I'm going to watch the first episode and see how it is.

Apparently it's not as lighthearted as the first season, which is awesome because the first season really killed me sometimes with the goofy antics.

Loli stop watching that Black Butler crap and finish Cowboy Bebop!

You're right, it IS crap. Mostly anyway, the anime shines in some departments, but it also falls flat on its face in others. So much filler and so much wasted potential. The soundtrack however, is wonderful. I really enjoyed it and I downloaded Monochrome no Kiss and Lacrimosa(made by Kalafina :dopey:). Ciel Phantomhive and Elizabeth have also won my heart :3

Actually.... I think I'm going to try out Bokurano tonight or sometime soon. So be happy yaywalthurrr.
