Not really filler, just way too much focus on character backstories and relationships throughout the story... a lot of it dragging on longer than it needed to, like they were trying to do a panel-by-panel adaptation of the manga. Doing a panel-by-panel adaptation of manga doesn't usually work (except for Monster), but it DEFINITELY doesn't work if you aren't going to adapt the whole thing.

Character building's fine and dandy, but not when the main plot suffers because of it. If they only had 20 episodes to work with, they really should've tried to get to the point sooner with the character building stuff rather than have it drag on excessively and basically take over the show towards the end.

After I'm done with Chuuni's 1st season (Rikka's sister is a bombshell by the way) I'm debating between watching DxD Born, Plastic Memories or Initial D 5th Stage. I'm stuck :indiff:

Funny yet meh thing, over the past weekend at my mate's house, his girlfriend stated that she likes DxD and is waiting for the uncensored versions of Born to come out. It's interesting because I can't believe that there's girls that actually like that show despite its "assets":lol: Meanwhile my mate is like :odd:

Initial D was dead to me after Fourth Stage.

Episode 1 is like... the only good episode in Fifth Stage due to a humorous thing.

That's actually quite common over there, there are enormous prize machines that serve basically all kinds of prices, each year several companies release figures that are suposedly only attainable this way. I obviously didn't get from a prize machine in Japan, but yeah, suposedly you can't get them any other way lol.

Same could be said about the rest of the people who attend this thread, day in and day out, no? If anything, I'm being honest. :dopey:

Also, if I had a dollar for every time Ferio said the name "Zagato" in that episode, I'd have enough money to buy a whole set of Rayearth figures. Three times over. :lol:
 
Well that definitely suits the definition of "nightmare fuel" perfectly... Good grief, Sonico wasn't really a favorite of mine, much less in that "guise". Japan, please don't make those figures in large numbers, thank you. :sick:
