I have stated before why I don't like Trigun. Mainly, because anime comedy sucks -not to confuse with comedy anime, which can be very good-, and Trigun abuses it in all the places it shouldn't.

I would figure as much but apparently TTGL is supposed to be a contrast to NGE...the similarities are only most noticeable after the Time Skip, but even before the main characters are the same age as EVAs mostly...Simon...Nia (presumably)...

Yea, I know, but it's the best one from get off youtube…

…and are all the girls' voices pitched so high in the Japanese version as they are in the dubbed ones? Or is that just the typical US teenage girl dub they've used to make them sound younger?

Dubbed versions are a whole lot different from the original ones I guess. Yes, depends on the voice of the voice actor but yeah the dubbed versions tend to have a rather Western kind of voice.

And high-pitched voices in anime? Deal with it :p At least there are some good characters that aren't really speaking squeakily if that's your taste... *coughcoughAsukacoughcough*
