Somewhat epic is a satisfactory description.

It's one of the most epic points in the series, sure. But relative to other anime, it's not exceptionally epic.

TheCorvette, now that you're past episode 12, the idea of causality and the butterfly effect are sidelined for a good bit.

We'll see Friday (Which is also when I finally finish Soul Eater. I'll post my thoughts on the ending which I've heard lots of people said sucked hardcore.) when I watch those episodes.

I guess we're just in the minority when it comes to our thoughts on Steins;Gate. BTW...

Just as a heads-up, the Anime version of Soul Eater is completely different from the manga version after half way through the anime

I'm very well aware. I knew about that like two years ago when I started the show. I stated it before, when I was saying "canon", I was referring to what the anime covered that was in the manga.

I can only hope it gets the Brotherhood treatment, but that can only happen when the manga is almost done. It's published monthly in the same magazine as FMA was, so it'll take years.

It's correct to say the manga isn't complete yet. I believe it's the longest publishing manga in Japan

In order of events beginning from the Mayor's entrance:

1. The Mayor begins to play epic intro music.
2. He does a standing cartwheel leap.
3. Missing his step, his ankle breaks on the step.
4. He falls backward and cracks his head open.
5. He's dead. Much like Hyatt, except less...spontaneously sporadic.
6. (Not seen in the clip) The macrocosm comes by and says something to the effect of "let's try that again." and everything starts anew; negating the original sequence of events.

When explained all of the humor dies. You should be ashamed of yourself.
