Yeah stay away from naruto, one piece, and bleach. The amount of episodes you need to watch is ridiculous and that time spent could be used to watch a ton of different aeries and would bring you greater satisfaction.

But you can't go wrong with death note and fullmetal alchemist brotherhood.
But One Piece is really, really, really good. It's my favorite anime for a reason.

Also I like how people ALWAYS cite their large episode counts for being the reason they apparently suck (According to the person saying so, even if they haven't even seen the shows at all.).

Sure they have a lot of episodes which makes watching them daunting (Well if you didn't start as soon as it started, or before it hit 100 episodes (Two full years of broadcast.)-to think with like Fairy Tail for example, I remember when it just started 3 years ago, and it's now at 150+ episodes.), and rewatching them more daunting (Especially in One Piece's case.), but I find them to be pretty good.

tl;dr: I don't appreciate it when people get on all those shows with episode counts of 200+ episodes having too many episodes for why they in their eyes suck, and should be avoided like the plague. Go into stuff like the story, the characters, and more. "It's got too many episodes." isn't a good reason in my eyes. If all anime based off of manga had all of their chapters adapted, you can bet A LOT more anime would be 100+ episodes (As manga at 20+ volumes is quite common. Under 10 volumes is quite rare.). We'd see lots more with 200+ episodes even.
No sir, Another sucks. Well, the first two episodes anyway...
I wouldn't say that, but it's definitely lacking, slower than Steins;Gate's first two episodes, and it just fails to entertain me at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it literally puts me to sleep. It seems this show just isn't my cup of tea. It's boring me to tears, and if it doesn't pick up by episode 5, it'll be the first anime I've ever dropped.

Didn't post about this yesterday, but Bleach 357 made that 9/10 go down to an 8/10. My mean score for "Watching" on MAL is now a 7.5, my only 9/10 is Hunter x Hunter (2011) on there, and my only 10/10 on there is One Piece like usual.

$63, I can dig it.
Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen Blu-ray Part 1
It apparently comes with a 300 page booklet.

I was watching the "I'VE ABANDONED MY CHILD!!!" clip from "There Will Be Blood", and I couldn't stop myself from thinking of Gendo shouting that.

Well, I'm off to bed, I've got more exams tomorrow.
"I could help you with biology~"
"I don't even do it."
"Baka. Can't take a hint."

Detective stories are awesome :grumpy:
And yet you haven't watched Case Closed (Detective Conan)!:grumpy:

I still need to see that (I've heard it's quite good. I have read chapter 1 of the manga, and it's pretty good.), but the fact that FUNimation stopped at 130 episodes due to poor sales (After multiple, multiple tactics to make it sell well. Even those really cheap Viridian Collections.) kinda makes it somewhat tough to want to start as 131 and on isn't licensed.

Did we say One Piece sucked?

We're only frowning upon it for it's episode count.

Oh no, it has 500+ episodes! I need to watch all of them as quickly as possible instead of at my own pace!

Seriously people, yes it has a lot of episodes, but like any show, you're free to watch at whatever pace you want.
When someone could be expanding their anime palette with shorter, potentially better shows.
No show is better than One Piece.

I haven't seen anything better than One Piece.

Maybe you don't mind, but I personally don't want one show to keep hogging a time slot in my schedule for that long. There's going to be other shows I'm going to want to watch and I certainly don't want to make more time for shows as I have school, work, and other stuff that takes higher priority than watching TV.

It's one episode a week. Also you're watching Bakuman., a show that has had its third season greenlit, and the manga is entering its 4th year. I won't be surprised if Bakuman. runs in Weekly Shonen Jump for 10 years total, leading to that anime being so many episodes in so many adaptions.
I personally found One Piece to be dreadful, yup I said it.
You have no soul.:grumpy:

I hated the first 13 episodes. If a show can't hold me by then and expects me to sit through 500 more, I'm out.

Look man, I don't want to watch One Piece. You can stop now.

Conan and Doraemon ftw, Drav. You totally not an old-schooler.

You have no soul, penis or credibility as an otaku!!!!!!

The show isn't like that for all 500.:rolleyes:Go talk to STTS at PSUF for a rundown on things.
I've talked to him many times about it. And I always come to the same conclusion, if I didn't like what I saw in the beginning, I'm not willing to sit through that for the rest of it. Ya hear?

It could be amazing in every sense of the word, but what I saw wasn't. The fact that it took that long to establish it's wonderful quality is a turn-off. Bleach could get AMAZING at episode 373, but I'm not watching it.

As I was saying, you haven't seen NGE yet. If you give NGE enough serious thought, it will easily beat One Piece. You could go on about "deep characters" or whatnot in those seriously long animes, but FFS they've been developed over 100s of episodes! Cowboy Bebop is also seriously worth a mention.

Careful, your point might develop into a complex and overly long argument with TC.

Same here.

Except now the point I brought up will start a complex and overly long argument with TC about him starting complex and overly long arguments consistently.

Have you ever given it enough thought to get as far as the Baratie arc the or Arlong arc, which start well before episode 50? The 10/10 quality comes as early as that, and it only gets better.

As for Bleach, it won't get amazing at 373, trust me. If the quality has been going down for me since like 345, it sure as hell won't for that. Bleach is a mixed bag. It'll never live up to the greatness of the Soul Society arc ever again which is regarded as it's best arc by nearly everyone who's seen it (It's praised by many also with great reason. I see only very positive reviews for that arc.). I'm still shocked that was the arc that made you drop it, not the Bount arc or Hueco Mundo. Soul Society Arc>Every other arc in Bleach.

I've given NGE serious thought since last Summer when I first got interested in watching it. I've numerous times have stated how I want to order this, but haven't been able to because my dad hasn't paid me yet. It pains me how I now have to wait until mid February before I can order anything, and NGE is near the top of the list easily.

As for Cowboy Bebop (Shame on Loli for having it on-hold still.), already seen it. I see it get replayed over and over and over and over and over again on [adult swim] every Saturday night. It truly is great, especially with its character development.

BTW, Loli start watching it again. TGAT begs you to.:(
