That's what you think. Though I have yet to watch the show. It's not set in stone that I'll import it. Depends on how much I like it after I watch it (I was intending on straight up buying this (A stripped-down version of the JP box which looks quite nice from what I've seen.), but it sold out, and now is going for prices close to what Amazon Japan is offering for the original JP box.). If the show is like Durarara!! (Which was awesome.), then I'll definitely go for it.

BTW, comparison shots I found between our DVD, and the BD. What did FUNimation do to the DVD's?

Also on the topic of dropping shows and still talking about anime, I wish I could drop Kill Me Baby. It takes me forever to watch an episode because every 5 minutes I have to pause it to do something else so I don't kill myself.

It's what I think as well, but I only saw the first 3 episodes. The only show on my list that I'd pay $250 for is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and that's 64 episodes.

How about Steins;Gate? Would you pay for a Blu-ray box in Japan (Pretend that the show won't come here at all.) that had all the episodes, English subtitles, an English dub that is good in your eyes, a premium booklet, a chipboard box with great cover art, a great digipak, and could be bought for $350 at Amazon Japan?

I'm always serious when I bring in imports to the conversation, yes. I can't believe I once found myself going "Why do people buy imports? Waste of money." to wanting to import things myself. Though I'll never be a hardcore importer. R1 will always be my main place to buy anime, unless it goes under. If it does, I'll import only from Japan, but unfortunately that would mean, not being able to get every single show I want due to the costs.

No because I said "I don't think." not "None.". To my knowledge I haven't heard of a Blu-ray box in Japan coming with a figure.

Anyway is that a Blu-ray single or a Blu-ray box? I know very little about BRS. I don't even know how many episodes it is. Would it be this thing?

Back in my Gundam phase, I saw a EW Wing Zero PG for $236... a giant blue box and I was dumb and was like "I'm going to buy then when I grow up." Fast forward about 8 years, I have 3 figurines sitting on my shelf with another one coming in June.

If it was worth it to you, it's not a waste, and doesn't make you weird. Like with me, $370 for Fate/Zero for example is not a waste. It's well worth my money, and the second box set for Fate/Zero 2 is also well worth my money.

Depends, really. The only ones that (or nearly that) expensive now are the Pearl EW Wing 0, Strike Freedom (which I still need to get!), 00-Raiser, and I think the metallic-coated re-releases of the original Gundam and Zaku II.

Oh, and the GP01/GP01-Fb (considering it's two models in one, with a hangar).

I remember Andy saying something about an actual BRS anime, but it's only an OVA for now. A really, really kind of good but mostly "I don't even know who or what just happened!" OVA.
