I guess I have to board the Terror in Resonance hype train, right?

Sadly, there is no hype for any shows I'm trying to hype up. Not here, not ARM. Watch it though.

Another reason to love Goodsmile.

some better reasons to love Good Smile:

I'll save the best two for another time.

I'll do one for the other brands eventually. :) Good Smile is running low on amazing stuff.

Obvious reply by DK... I was thinking of skipping out on that Yoko for something else but Max Factory's only got so many good ones.

If I have time later tonight, I'll do Griffon. That one is going to be hard.

Yep, figurines. Making 14 year old girls 4 more years older.
lol, but that's just cause it's a different version though. It's called the "Real Image Ver." because... well, she's sculpted to have a realistic look.

@AOS- ALL HAIL MAX FACTORY! :O

lol, don't bother with Griffon man, it's not worth your time. :p

I'm interested to hear what you think of Alter. Everybody's praising them but I don't really see the appeal in the stuff they produce (except for excellent quality control).

Finally watched Rebellion. And wow, that ending. But I have some questions

  • Homura ripped Madoka of her God status and becomes a God herself. However, she becomes a demon, right?
  • Now that Homura is the devil, she recreates the universe so Madoka can exist. So is the Madoka in Homura's world just a normal girl now?
  • Homura declares Madoka to be her enemy. Can I still call this love? What made Homura turn into the devil was love in desperation, but...
  • Kyubey's species was wiped out?
  • The remaining girls (Sayaka, Nagisa...) become normal girls in Homura's rebuilt world, right?
  • Kyubey's ultimate goal was to control Godoka?
  • Could there be another season? Madoka still retains some of her God abilities, so she might "fight" against Homura in attempts to amend her own will. Homura basically takes Godoka's place as universal overseer but Madoka is still a threat.

After finishing it, I spent more time than I should have speculating on this single movie. My brain is literally mashed with it. I know very well that I'll be spending some time pondering over this show.

@CoffeeGrunt, yes that first one is a Miku. Miku Append as titled. It's a low-priced high quality sculpt featuring a subtle neutral pose that contains wonderful curves in the hair. Neutral poses are great because you can capture great shots from numerous angles. Example 1, 2, http://myfigurecollection.net/picture/746003&ref=item:61389.

Those figurines you shared are pretty nice. I must've missed them completely.

I'll try at Griffon.. just to make it a challenge. :) Alter won't be too difficult. The overall quality of Alter from what I know is consistent. They don't have many characters of interest so that just means I can be even less biased than I was with the other two when coming up with a top 9. Most of the figurines I do like in general happen to be released by Good Smile and Alter. Any figurine with a lot of thin stringy delicate things floating around with high detailing is a "like" from me.

@Technicolors: My answers aren't 100% definite, but....

I'm going to be a bit finicky for a minute. Let's not simply say "she became" a devil. Through deductive reasoning, she arrived at the conclusion that the only thing that could match the power of a god (and take them out) would most likely have to be the devil, hence she assumes that status.

The Madoka in Homura's world is still the same Madoka (flesh and blood) whom she just ripped the god power from. When she recreated the world, her friends got brought into it.

Unsure about the love bit. Kyubey's species is... I don't know. I like to think the Incubators have not been eliminated as that would deplete all chance of a follow-up, which there still is potential for (imho). What I think we saw was the Incubators being forcefully given the ability to feel emotion and pain for the first time, hence the cringing.

I think Homura has wiped their memory of knowing they are witches. I'd think they still are, just like how Madoka still has her god powers. The circumstance is that so long no one remembers what they were, their powers remain dormant.

Yes, Kyubey's goal was to control Godoka. Madoka wanted the Incubators from harvesting energy obtainable from dying magical girls, so she changed up some rules (by recreating the universal rule of their life cycle), but then the Incubators just worked around it to find some way to still continue to harvest energy. This time, they can just harvest it from Godoka herself.

Could theere be another season? Orobuchi did a great job with the ending. Even if there won't be, he leaves it off hinting possibilities. As much as I don't like when things get turned into cash cows, I actually don't mind if he does another sequel.

Madoka is only a "threat" in that she can easily reverse everything Homura has done to accomplish what she did by the end of the film. I'm sure you wouldn't want people undoing all your hard work. That's how she is perceived as an enemy to Homura. The beautiful part of this relationship is that they are still best of friends so the struggle to find mutual agreement is why the plot is now so fascinating.

What about Alphamax, and FREEing (Specifically their 1/4 scale figures which seem to be their speciality-haven't heard good things about their non-1/4 scale figures)?

[Edit]Oh and almost forgot, how about Kotobukiya? Still not good with companies as I'm still rather new to figure collecting, and don't have high standards really. I mean this is all I own atm...
