I've said this before in this thread but some of you guys really need to work on your humour. Nothing breaks the tension better than a good one liner and nothing gets women to like you faster than being funny. You really missed an opportunity that night, if only to show how funny you can be at 5 am.
Whatever you do, don't talk to her to find out what happened. At best make a joke about it, but if it were me I'd never mention it. Just assume she digs you and move forward from there, although you probably went down a notch or two but not at least making an attempted pass at her that night. Believe it or not, women enjoy attention, knowing they are wanted and desired, even if she went there and knew she'd refuse you, she still would like to hear it. There's a time and a place for everything of course, you don't make a pass at someone at a taco stand on the street, but 5am at a hotel is pretty much open season for that kind of thing.
Again, at worst, you make her laugh, she thinks you're funny, she still says no, but leaves with the impression that you can still be cool and slick at 5am.
Don't ever come to Portugal then!
