i uninstalled all the files & the bitmap,PNG,JPG are coming up with theGIMP20

Whats the extension to the gimp?

What i meant was that the extensions ; bmp , png , jpg and so on are still associated with the gimp so what you have to do is associate them w/ paint or whatever imager you have left , if it's a good image app then use the options of that to reassign . When using gimp 2.0 the file associations is a seperate window so it can be confusing .
