Honda NSX Type R '02
I just have to +1 this, The car is just astonishing and an incredible joy to drive. Very balanced, yet fast and agressive. It looks awesome in Midnight Pearl as well.

Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) '02 RM
If there's a single FR car that can ever match the NSX-R in terms of sheer balance, grip and overall driving feel, it'll have to be the S15RM. You know, after driving it, I finally understood why the S-chassis have been nicknamed 'cheater chassis'. You can literally feel what the car is about to do before it even does. A great experience and, aside from the much litgher Lotus cars, I have yet to find a car that creates such fast lap times with that little HP. And it looks good, to boot. At least in my opinion.

My favourits:
Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) RM
Audi R10 Chromeline (normal would just be the same I think)
TVR Tuscan RM
Lotus Elise 111R RM
458 Italia
Maserati Gran Turismo S
Ford GT ´06
Suzuki GSX-R Concept

List could go on and on and.......
The Ruf´s are awsome to, except the Yellowbird. I can´t drive that Track-painter :D

Just to named a few:

M-Benz SLS AMG:
Didn't know how awesome this car is until I tried in the AMG academy challenge. Bought one right after and fell in love. Nice engine rwar and handles really well. It's a blast to drive on the ring.

ZR1 Race mod fully tuned:
Super fast, super easy to drive. Destroy all other race car or le man cars on any tracks.

M3 GTR road or race car:
One of my all time favorite. I wished it was a premium car...

NSX Type R:
Enought said.

Lp640 because it's such an involving drive
M3 e92 because it's handling is scapel sharp
C6 Z06 because it can power slide so well
Z06 RM because it's quick and well sorted
zZII because it's also fast and has gobs of traction
s2000 because it's nimble as heck

Dodge challenger srt 08. Tuned to 720 hp, and around 1000 kg with areo kits, you have a mean car. This thing handles better then anything Iv drove. Amazing car, love beating super cars in it. Plus I was leading 6 other cars last night (lambo, gt-r, corvette, mclaren, ect) at the ring and they were shocked by how fast this beast was.

An GT-R 07' fully tuned, with 830hp, low weight and a superb handling.
cr.~300.000 for a car who win any other car.

Isuzu coupé 117 (or something like that really love it)
NSX-R Type-R 02
Subi 22b
RE-RX-7
SLS AMG tuned
New WRX subi.
CT230R with racing tyres.
Motul GT-R

Sauber C9, Minolta Toyota, Audi R8 Oreca, and the Pescarolo C60 Hybrid.

Those are the four I have, and the best I have.

^^^
I would not say this. For example Mclaren F1 - legendary car, but it drives like almost nothing special, but Lexus LFA - pure joy to drive! (one of the examples)

-NSX R 02 ----the action car
-Dodge Viper ----fun to make crazy drifts around Eiger
-Ferrari F40 ----disable ABS and all other Aids, for real man only!
-Peugeot 908 ----wins any LMP race
-Mazda 787b ----the Legend
-Any Premium Super GT ----Super GT! 'nough said
-Ferrari 458 ----beautiful but tricky
-Lambo SV ----with aero body kit, it can be a nice time trial attack car

This topic is pretty much just people with different tastes listing every single car in the game :)

actually you even don't read all the other posts. you just post your stuff. except the first one on the last page (yup, the one with that Lufia endboss)
That's how the WWW works. :p

There are a number of different cars which fall into different catergories in the game but each is "superb" in their own right...

Corvette ZR-1 RM: This one's probably on quite a few people's list but that's because it drives superbly and is one of the only high-powered cars which Bob can control!

TVR Cerbera Speed 12: For the brave only! Wheel spin in 6th on any terrain and a car which Bob most certainly cannot handle! One of the most fun cars to drive and rewarding if you can keep it in a straight line!

Honda NSX-R LM Road Car: I thought I was mad for paying nearly 500,000Cr for this one but it drives and sounds superb!

Pagani Zonda R: The noise, the speed, the ferocity...need I say more? :sly:

I suggest that people grab the Renault Sport Trophy Race Car, if you see it in the UCD. Just ran a lap of European Championship Extreme, and boy does that thing run nice :) It killed cars with higher HP (like the Lotus Esprit, etc).

All the DTM cars are awesome, as well, such as the Astra Touring Car and the Alfa 155 Touring Car :)

The NSX Epson Super GT '08 is a recent favorite that comes to mind. I did the Suzuka 1000k endurance event with it. Premium race car with great handling. Cool looking yellow Dunlops for rubber. The cockpit interior is full on race gear, much like the Ferrari F1 except more vivid graphically. It has a small rear view screen on the dash. Cost me 950,000 credits. I think the event paid 360,000 lol.

Originally I loved to drive cars with so much HP that they were untouchable. I had the driving line on, skid recovery force, TCS, ABS, etc. Then I got bored of basically running time trials. Then I realized I was not improving my driving skill in the game. Then I realized that the depth of cars in the game is there for a reason, otherwise it would be a handful of cars that were super fast.

Now I tend to appreciate the cars more. The most fun I have had recently was the MK1 GTI on the Ring, for the seasonal event.

I like having adjustable suspension and transmission so I can adjust the car to my style (I prefer a slight bias towards oversteer, rather than the large bias towards understeer in most cars). I only do HP upgrades if I need them to stay competitive (had to bump the GTI up to about 150 hp to be able to hang).

The latest evolution of my style is to not use Racing Soft automatically for all cars. Race cars get racing hard. High performance Street cars get sport soft. "Regular" street cars might even get comfort tires.

Also I tend to favor premiums, as I have been trying to use the cockpit view with no other HUD, helps me focus on the driving rather than using the assistance of the track map, gear change indicator etc.

Some of my favorites:

Cappuccino RM
Elise 111R RM
TVR Speed 6 RM (did 200km grand valley endurance with it stock, was definitely overkill)
Challenger R/T RM
(noticing a trend?)
Ferrari 512bb
ZZII (suspension settings look kind of crazy to fix the understeer, but worth it!)
BMW 2002 Turbo
Mazda 110S

I am sure I have more favorites, but without looking at my garage those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

My list of Superb Cars:
Make: Chevrolet
1. Camaro Z28 RM 1969.
2. Corvette ZR1 RM 2009'.
3. Impala J. Gordon's #20 NASCAR.
4. Morrison's Art Corvette 1960.

Sorry NOT a fan of Japanese cars. I use my stealth cars NSX, GT-R take car of the Japanese races.

PS: I don't waste money buying "Standard" cars coz' they look like crap. I use standard cars that I won from race events. Minolta 88C-V, Toyota 7, Toyota Castrol 97'[Premium].

Just bought an Elise 111R... then RM'd it, and painted it Saffron Yellow. Added one level of Turbo and one level of Engine upgrade, a computer chip, and some sports soft tires. Then soundly beat a Zonda 12S, Ferrari Enzo, McLaren F1, and an R390 GT1 Road car around Grand Valley :D

That earns it a +100000000 on my scale. What a great car!

Also, the little Honda S800 Race Car '69 easily beat the clubman cup (with approx. 250HP cars), with it's little 98HP engine. Just goes to show you that it's not about HP, but about race tuning. :)

I haven't seen the RX 7 Bathurst listed in here.

So far, for the money its the best handling car I've found in the game.

Close to the NSX-R.

Alfa Romeo GTA (standard): looks good for an standard and handles suberp
Corvette C2 Z06 Race Car: handles nice and looks good for a standard
BMW 2002 Turbo: nice looking and great handling

Not necessarily the fastest or best cars but cannot be beaten for sheer enjoyment when using:

Chrysler 300C (S) - Handles like a boat and takes some serious fettling. But once you've got a good setup, second to none for sheer speed and sound.

VW Beetle 1100 Standard '49 (S) - Cute as a button, and not half bad once tuned. OK, I'm biased because I used to be obsessed with Herbie when I was a kid. Only one thing works against it - turbo lag off the line.

Lancia Delta Integrale '91 (P) - Did the Polyphony Digital cup championship with it, sprayed Vauxhall Space Green, running a setup originally meant for a Skyline GTR. Love the aggressive roar it makes with a titanium exhaust and handles like a dream, with only a trace of 4WD understeer

Ferrari 512BB '76 (P) - Beautiful beast that needs a little taming.

Vauxhall Corsa Comfort '01 (S) - Quite well modelled for a Standard car and once you find the right setup, it will reward you with giant-killing victories at Expert and possibly Extreme-level races.

For fun matched race, have friends build the new 06 S2000, limit power to 325 and tire is up to the racers, we run open tire rule.

These are just a blast to drive at this power level.

Also finally purchased a McLaren F1. She too is a great car.

I have been really loving the 69 Z28 RM. I really never did much side by side with it, but last night tried it online on deep forest. Excellent time.
