So, my car wish list isn't too drastic, but I feel at least two of them should be essential:

  • Toyota AW11 MR2 (both N/A and S/C would be nice)
  • Ruf CTR Yellowbird (Come on!!! Why is this not here already?)

Apart from those:

Audi Urquattro 20V
Lancia 037
VW Corrado VR6
Ford BA Falcon XR6T (I'd like to see some Barra action. Imagine being able to boost it to 2000HP, like you can in real life ;)
A few more Aussie cars: XY Falcon GTHO, Torana GTR XU1, V8 Supercars.

As for tracks, I have a different wish: historic tracks. Bring in old school layouts of Fuji, Spa, Monza (the full track with the banked loop would be epic), La Sarthe. ESPECIALLY Fuji, the modern layout is a bit pants. Rouen, old Hockenheim, personal favorite Westwood (located in Port Coquitlam BC, no longer exists, great short road course). Driving modern road and race cars around vintage race courses is a lot of fun in Assetto Corsa, imagine the extra detail and polish Polyphony can bring to these now long-gone tracks.

There's only two old GT original tracks I'd like back: Costa Di Amalfi, and El Capitan.

Some sort of open world map for cruising and more casual/impromptu racing. SS Route X could be made into something?

Finally; I would also like to see hillclimb and touge courses. The full Pikes Peak. You could have Lia Block as a rival character, along with Hoonipigasus (sic) as an ultimate prize car.

Come on PD, you're literally in Japan, it can't be that hard. Also, with so many auction websites today it can't be that difficult to contact owners of showroom-quality examples to model. You already have licenses for all these companies. Plus, many of these old cars are actually more rare today than some of the exotics in the game so they're even more of an experience for younger players.

How can you offer 2 PikesPeak cars, with no Pikes Peak racecourse ? A reverse run on Nurgergring comes close, as does a reverse run on Bathurst. No Road America track, no Talageda Infield?
 
Pebble beach GT award winners from:
  • 2015: Cunningham C-4R Competition Roadster CN.5217 '52
  • 2016: Ferrari 330 P4 Drogo Spyder '66
Maserati 250F - would be such a unique drive and add to the legendary F1 collection.

AC Cobra (hard top with the 289 engine) - an essential for Goodwood.

R32 Calsonic Skyline - no justification necessary.

Fiat Punto - already lots of Fiat and Abarth in the game and would be another good European hot hatch.

Land Rover defender - an automotive icon (not the new Chelsea tractor).

Autumn ring layouts - suitable for low powered cars, my first GT memories.

We're all with you on the hillclimb courses, but Road America and especially Talladega aren't highly-regarded tracks outside of Wisconsin and Alabama respectively.

It would've been incredible to be at that race in person! A buddy and I stayed up most of the night to watch the whole race on Motor Trend.

Let's just start with something simple, just one car I badly and desperately want to see:

(6.2L model with gated shifter, to accompany the LP 640 we already have)

Then tracks, let's see, I've been wanting some city tracks, so let's base it off of venues for GT World Series events:

  1. Amsterdam
  2. Circuito de Madrid
  3. Cote d'Azur
  4. Las Vegas (an actual city street circuit instead of just a quarter-mile drag strip)
  5. Metropolitan Tokyo (not just Tokyo R246, but maybe even deeper like the Shibuya Crossing route driven by go-karts in the area)
  6. New York
  7. Paris
  8. Salzburg
  9. Sydney

This probably not gonna be a popular wishlist but maybe some of my Polish folks will agree. Old polish Polonez and Fiats. With the level of detail GT7 provides it would be beautiful. Sadly will never happen.

PDI could add, in addition to the first version of the Porsche 911 GT1 (1996), the other rivals of the McLaren F1 GTR '95, which competed in the BPR Global Series.

As I mentioned in another topic, PDI's "fish out of water" policy is frustrating, when it brings a car from one universe and inserts it into another environment, completely disconnected from its habitat.

Of course, the those cars don't have the same performance as modern GT3s, as can be seen the McLaren GT1 '95 during the game. But this would be completely circumvented by hashtag mechanisms, making the appropriate division in the Gr.3 class.

The last four cars mentioned were in Gran Turismo 2.

Furthermore, by way of poetic license, PDI could bring the Mercedes CLK-GTR '97 and add it to the Gr.3 class, diverging from the CLK-LM of Gr.2.

It wouldn't be absurd at all, because the record for GT3 cars at Donington Park is held by the McLaren 720 GT3 with a time of 1:24.977, broken last year. The Mercedes CLK-GTR had a time of 1:23.854 in 1997. A BoP service would adapt the CLK-GTR to the Gr.3.

By the way, Donington Park is a fantastic circuit. I believe PDI would have no difficulty adding it to the GT7. Its landscape is not difficult to work with and Donington's licensing is taken care of by the same company that takes care of Brands Hatch (if I'm not mistaken).

Dude, you have great taste. Like you also mention it is indeed very important that we have cars that make sense racing against each other.

  • It's a new car for the 2024 season of super gt which also celebrates it's 30th anniversary
  • it's a japanese car (it seems to me that PD can get them "easier" into the game)
  • gr. 2 needs more cars

I really like the aesthetics and sound of F1 cars from the “Senna Era”. I believe most F1 fans do too. And I think Kaz does too, considering what he did in Gran Turismo 3, when he brought exactly six cars (F686/M, F687/S, F688/S, F090/S, F094/H, F094/S) from that era in generic models.

Therefore, taking into account that we already have the McLaren MP4/4 '88 in the game, it would be wise to bring six more cars, each from the following six seasons, in order to avoid any licensing conflict with the FOM.

6 cars
  • Lotus 101 '89
  • Ferrari F1 641 '90
  • McLaren MP4/6 '91
  • Williams FW14 '92
  • Sauber C13 '93
  • Benetton B194 '94

I chose six cars without repeating the manufacturer, aiming for more representation, including the engine.

These cars could compete in the same category through the BoP, making performance equivalent to the level of competitiveness. This idea would be unique on the market, at least officially.

But I don't know if it would be legally possible for PDI to obtain licensing for these six listed cars. I don't know if this would invade the sphere of interests of CodeMasters and FOM/Liberty Media. Maybe not, considering the last Forza Motorsport game featured the McLaren MP4/4 and the Ferrari F1 641.

In any case, if it is not possible to bring the licensed cars, PDI could bring them in their generic “Gran Turismo” versions, such as the Formula GT F-1500T-A, generic model of the Lotus 97T '85, and those others mentioned of GT3.

Regarding the tracks, in search of a more equitable distribution between the continents, I would like to:

8 Tracks
  • Indianapolis (3 layouts)
  • Mont-tremblant (3 layouts)
  • Imola (1 layout)
  • Kyalami (1 layout)
  • Shanghai (3 layouts)
  • Everland Speedway (3 layouts)

It would be a dream come true to see all these old f1 machines come to gt7 even as generic GT versions. The game is currently lacking at least two more formula cars.

It’s pretty funny to me how nearly all
of those old F1 cars are sponsored by cigarettes. If they ever were brought to the game it’d be interesting to see how PD got around that, like the 962C having the generic ‘Porsche Racing’ livery instead of Rothmans :lol:

I'd love to see more inclusion of the Group 7 cars and related eras of motorsports.

So essentially, every Chaparral that still exists (2A to 2K, barring the 2J as that's already in), The McLaren M6 and M8, Lola T160, Toyota 7 in its three iterations, Shadow Mk.I and Mk.II, etc.

Some historical tracks would also be excellent, like 1960s Laguna Seca.
 
Circuit wise something historic that can't be run in real life given safety parameters these days, e.g. Pescara (Italy) road race of the 1940-60's, two huge fast straights, one along the coast and a twisty mountain road joining the two, obviously would be a mammoth effort to reproduce it given it hasn't been run for 60years and it was 16miles start to finish but would be a lovely place to play with an old Aston Martin, Ferrari or Jaguar. Some nice gradient changes and blitzing it past some lovely real estate.
Car wise something like the Ford RS200 would be nice to see return from previous generation GT games would happily go straight into the heritage market at 1-2million credits.
Lotus as a brand would be nice to see?

Also this next one is for personal nostalgia. I remember in GT2, starting out with an old red celica and finally completing the first series of events to award a prize car and this was it! A Honda Del sol. I was so hooked on GT after learning that prize cars were a thing. I drove this thing like crazy after that. The sentiment was real.
