I'd love to see what Polyphony Digital's vision of a long, winding Japanese mountain road circuit would look like. I think games need more super long winding circuits outside of just the Nordschlife. Stuff like the mentioned Fujimi Kaido or Circuito de la Sierra from GT6. Hell bring back Complex String for the memes, or if PD were to really get spicy, take all the Special Stage route Tracks(except maybe X since it already is in the game) and combine them into one super long city circuit. Maybe even combine the Seaside and Gardens layouts of Dragon Trail into one long course.

We need to include Fiat cars. The Fiat Punto Gt, Fiat Barchetta, Fiat Coupè Turbo plus, Fiat Uno turbo I.E Mk2, Fiat 500 Sporting and 600 Sporting are missing. The Renault Clio Williams 91, Renault 5 Gt Turbo, Peugeot 106 rally, Peugeot 206, Alfa Romeo 147, Alfa Romeo 33, Alfa Romeo 75. And I could go on, these are the cars that are missing in this title to have fun and do competitive events, this game is just full of Japanese cars, users are tired of them.... I hope in the next updates to see at least some Fiat cars, they are cars that have made history.
 
Highly unrealistic and perhaps unpopular but I'm waiting for a modern racing game to officially add a full size Land Cruiser a.k.a "Station Wagon" models.
I'm biased but I'm mainly thinking about a 1998-2007 Toyota Land Cruiser (J100), preferably one with a 1FZ if Polyphony could somehow find one in Japan. If they're okay with adding crossovers and old vans, why not one of the most iconic SUV nameplates period? Besides, while not quite the levels of the 1UZ or 2JZ, the 1FZ on the J100 is still somewhat moddable in real life.

On a more realistic level, i would like to see more Australian cars in the game. Perhaps the return of few vehicles from GT4 such as:
FPV F6 Typhoon '04
Holden Monaro CV8 '04

and new-to-series entries like:
Chrysler Valiant VH
Ford Falcon XA
Ford Falcon FG
Holden Monaro HQ
Holden Commodore VF

Just to name a few, I'm not Australian so i barely know anything about their cars but some look interesting to me. I'm fairly sure people could come up with more interesting examples to add.

Would love to see the return of both the Opel Speedster Turbo '00 and the Opel Calibra Touring Car '94, especially since I could see the latter going into Gr.4 alongside the DTM-spec Alfa Romeo 155. Heck, why not throw in the road-going Calibra that the race car is based on, too?

To be fair the Speedster/220 Turbo is a classic 4C and shared some chassis overlap with the Elise.

Off topic but when I was a lot younger I reversed at full whack the yard/pool car Corsa diesel in to one of the Lorry drivers brand new Calibra V6 in purple knocked the bumper back in to it a good 10 inches…..he’d only had it 2 days….

Been wishing for Opel(Vauxhall) to make a return. They have cars that fit the various race group(A)s even PD have been recreating.

No secret about me recreating ADAC GT CUP and DTC races. The brand is well represented in those German sports coupes series.

Been be tough hope to carry after 3 years of playing.

Love the „old“ AMGs: Heavy, slow torque converter transmissions (which GT7 unfortunately does not/cannot simulate correctly) but massive V8 Power.

1992 BMW 850CSI

Any 8 series would do as i believe that this is one of the most beautiful coupes of all time. Saw one recently on the road: It had the V12 and a full body kit and a wing and extremely wide tires.

Oh man, if I had my way I would love to see the datamined GNX finally appear, so that would be my prediction/wish for this update.

If we're really reaching I would also love a mid/late 90's Camaro or Trans-Am as well, but I imagine those likely won't happen...

Maybe we'll get a sick rally car or even a new track if fortune favors us. Definitely hoping for at least a 4 car update with a new menu at least though.

Also, an 80's version of the Nissan 300zx would be super sweet too. That era always gets neglected for some reason. Had a sick 25th Aniversay Edition in middle/high school. Black with tan leather, t-tops, digital dash, etc.. Cut a big hole in the dash to install a screen so I could play PS1 in it like an idiot and sold it to a tweaker later who in turn I believe left it out in a field last I heard.

My brother also had a sick baby blue 300zx a year or two newer with a manual. He wants to turn it into a drift car now.

Would be super sweet to see an IRoc Camaro or Mustangs from the early or mid 90's or especially that early 2000's SVT!

Ugh, so, so many cool cars bros. If they would add 10 tracks and another 100 cars I would piss my pants, quit my job, and move in with my parents 🫡

I'm certain a 4th Gen Camaro will appear if not in GT7, then likely be a launch or update car for GT8, as it is an iconic part of GT history, being in the series from the very beginning, and PD even respected it enough to fashion a fictional LM Race Car out of it, so a reappearance isn't super far fetched.

I think the 2000 SVT Cobra R Mustang returning at some point is likely as an iconic GT machine. I'm not so hot on a Foxbody making the grade, as while it IRL is a popular tuning platform and an icon in and of itself, it doesn't seem like a "PD" style of car.

I would also love a "modern" Firebird, but I have little hopes, as Pontiac has never gotten much love in GT, and the Camaro is arguably the more widely known and iconic car, and as such the one PD would put resources into.

I hope so man, it would be nice to see some love for more American classics. Just noticed last night the Hemi Cuda is absent too, which is a shame. Holding out hope that the datamined list is true and we get that GNX for some nice NASCAR/Days of Thunder liveries.

Your optimism is encouraging lol, maybe we'll luck out on a few of those. Would be sweet to see a nice first gen, 1993-94 Viper too, with the targa top and yellow wheels. Such a sweet car that doesn't get any love from GT/Forza. Either way, I am still really happy with this game. They absolutely transformed racing games for me with the addition of VR. It is a surreal experience that never grows old.

You think we'll get to see the "Rambo Lambo" too at some point? I would love to tear up some dirt or snow tracks in that fine machine, or even just walk around it a few times in the showroom.

Either way man, here's to us all getting our way with the next updates and future GT's :cheers:

So, from my eyes, it looks like slim pickings from modern FF sport sedans that might be on PD’s radar:

  • Honda Civic Type R ‘08
  • Hyundai i30/Elantra N ‘24
  • Hyundai Elantra Sport ‘17

Off the wall cars would be the return of the Dodge Neon SRT-4 and a not even going to happen Chevy Cobalt SS sedan manual.
An Accord 2.0T is pretty darn quick, but a sport sedan it ain’t.

Obviously, I have no insider information and strictly guessing and trying to think like PD.
Sure, it could be added to the short list I made. However, I'd think the only possibility is because that car has a six-cylinder. However, it's not 4wd and it's not a couple or hatch.

I'd just think by the cars that have been added, we'd more likely see a 147 before an FF sedan.
Look at the cars in the just revealed silhouettes:
4WD and hatchbacks.

The 156 GTA is definitely special enough. We'll keep waiting to see what we get.
