It looks to me like a 100cc Clubman engine. Air cooled, 17hp 2-stoke but I don't think they're run in Europe. Top speed is about 105km/h which is what they were doing in the Piazza promo?

I used to race karts a few years back. Definately a Yamaha kt100s engine. Also know as a 'Clubman' engine. Around a normal track they will hit between 85km/h to 100km/h and on big tracks i.e. Road Racing tracks for cars they will hit 120km/h and above.

Here's a vid of me racing at my local curcuit in a minimax. (junior version of Rotax Max)

lbsf1, Blackbushe is also my local Go Kart track although, I do not race, just spectate sometimes. It seems a good little track. How often are you up there and what number do you race (If you stay the same number that is)?

Yeah Definitely a clubman Variation, usually are chain driven direct drive (with interchangeable rear sprocket to adjust gearing for tracks). Which means when you stop or lock up the engine stops too, sounds weird when you come into a corner all crossed up without an engine running.

GT5 version will no doubt will use some kind of clutch, as i don't see them animating your driver lifting the rear of the kart and trying to push start it.

I'm minimax number 16. I'm down there most racedays. (The next one being 23rd October). Where do you live in relation to blackbushe. I live in Lightwater. It would be great to see you down there sometime.
