I have a question:

Super Formula doesn't use number boards, so do we slap a number board from a GT race series on there or just use SF style numbers?
Keep it true to the series the car runs in. So just an SF style number

FINAL ENTRY
Alexander Calder 1975 3.0 CSL, British GT WSR M4 GT4

After years of success in the BTCC West Surrey Racing have decided to give the British GT Championship a crack. Their chariot for the upcoming season being a reworked version of the famous Alexander Calder design from the 1975 24hrs of Le Man's ran on the old BMW 3.0 CSL, here applied to the modern day BMW M4 GT4

So...NASCAR wouldn’t even have a number plate?

@Slender_Man & @Cytoria
I am a little unclear, for two reasons

Would this livery be acceptable?
1. I tried to use this for a previous LEC - but the entry was rejected and replaced by a different submission
2. Is it too much of a replica?

@Akwaaba , fine to me too, since it doesn’t made its way to a poll.

@Slender_Man , I’ve also been asked if we can do a throwback of a fictional livery? Specifically, a livery featured in an old Gran Turismo. Thanks!

FINAL ENTRY

Smashed two Audi’s together to form this!

So using the Audi as my base, I went for a classic 1993 DTM livery along with a pretty amazing looking GT300 Super GT entry and came up with the above.

I hope this is within the rules and the concept of the theme, masking of that Audi badge on the side is some 200 decals of painful work :banghead::lol:

200? Why not just make a mask decal of the Audi-logo? :D I thought I had one shared but apparently it‘s not.
Also don‘t GT300 cars also need the SuperGT mascot decal somewhere?

As far as I’m aware, they do not?

Seems like they don‘t. So it‘s only the GT500 cars then..

What is this mascot you speak of?

I’ve seen many team mascots, but never a series mascot

I wouldn’t put too much thought into it, just standard @Nuschel01 negativity.

EDIT; ok fixed that problem

It seems to be a mandatory sticker for GT500 cars and I just wasn‘t aware of it not being necessary for GT300 cars.

@baldgye seriously?

From what I recall. Nismo ran it on all gtr’s originally. It’s a charity thing I’m sure and it’s not mandatory. Kumamon the bear. I think it’s something to do with an earthquake in Kumamoto

Are there any other mandatory decals for Super GT? Might be helpful if someone had a list. I know the Blancpain GT USA list and IMSA if anyone needs them. And are there any for Super Formula?

For SuperGT the only seemingly mandatory stickers are the number boards (white for GT500’s, yellow for GT300’s), matching number box on the rear, a window banner of matching colours (see my entry) and GT300’s have yellow headlights where as the 500’s have clear headlights.

Hm interesting. In an earlier LEC someone was throwing **** at a few people for not having that sticker on their cars. I‘ll look into it again and see if I can find anything out.

EDIT: Okay, apparently that sticker was only kinda mandatory in 16/17. Sorry..

Yeah as I say, it was originally only nismo who ran the bear. It actually had nismo written into it at the bottom and the bears decoration changed per race with hearts and other decorative bits around it

Learned something, was not aware of the headlight lens colors. Will have to go back and check my old Super GT liveries.

Part of what makes replica-liveries fun is digging through the internet and old web-pages trying to find consistent versions of liveries from multiple angles :lol:
That's why I consider a lot of mine tributes, instead of replicas. I'm trying to have fun, not do homework. :lol:

Trying to find consistent images of that 93 DTM audi was a nightmare and then, higher resolution images as to be able to work out the sponsors... only to find all the high quality images are of car in the museum, which lacks nearly every sponsor :lol::banghead:
