I could use an existing design for this as I've got loads but I think I'll do something new

Livery is based off of the Team Gunston colours, Just chose the Citreon as It's a car I've never used before and wanted to see what I could come up with,
Gold base (Y4 Candy Met.) with brown and orange, very 70's
Went with the racing numbers from the Audi in this years Intercontinental GT series at Suzuka
I grew up watching Ford Capris and and Chevron B19s racing in these colours

2017 Nissan GT-R LM Nismo #21 Le Mans Entry

View media item 55412

In 2015, Nissan was the laughing stock of the motorsport world with their unmitigated disaster of an LMP1 program. However, In 2017 Nissan came back with a vengeance. Sporting 3 completely reworked cars ready to take on the World Endurance Championship season. The first two cars were in a livery much the same as the previous version was, but for the 3rd car, Nissan sported a livery for the 20th anniversary of their R390 program. The red and black car was striking, and even looked to have pace with the privateer cars, however it was not to be as reliability once again plagued all three of the cars.

This entry is actually a reworking of an idea I had way back for the Le Mans Teamwork comp that I just never finished. Hope you guys enjoy!

FINAL ENTRY

Here is my tribute of the Porsche 962 Miller High Life/BF Goodrich, winner of Daytona 24h in 1989.
I replace the Miller logo due to the tobacco and alcohol restriction. This car is planned to run in the Le Mans 24h, as one another throwback to Porsche winning history.

I tried to be as realistic as possible for the decals placement.

Is a reference to a 2017 car livery on a 2015 car in game, really a throwback? Isn't it the exact opposite of the brief?

Well, I have to defend that entry. It uses the 2019 starter number and Jaguar has not made a new F-Type since then. Ok, it canceled the F-Type GT3 project completly in 2018, but there are so many "fictional" Group 3 cars here...

Yes, Jaguar used that on a 2017 GT4, but originally the livery is based on the 1988 Jaguar XJR-9

I wasnt talking about the Jag!

The Jag hits the brief bang on.

Which one were you talking about?
The Nissan is a 2015 car with a livery from 1997. Completely fine in my book.

The 2017 reference was only in his story and not related to either the car or the livery.

FINAL ENTRY

I had a hard time deciding what to do, didn't want to do a direct reproduction. Looking at some of the old cars I've done, I settled on two, and started working on a different car, but wasn't sure I liked where it was going. Switched gears to the classic Vette, and re-imagined the livery for the newer body. The base stripes, except for the hood, was all done using in game shapes. With the biggest challenge being the black pin stripe, and getting it all to run over the rear spoiler, without it going crazy.

I was thrilled with the stripes, told my wife to check that 🤬 out, feeling like I had really pulled off something special. She was unimpressed, but what does she know, right.

I also thought it would be funny to have a BF Goodrich car running in the Michelin Tire Series.

Ah... Oops. My mistake. Sorry. I missed the R390 bit.

Do you have a picture for it? The only one I found is a fan-made render... or multiple GT Sport liveries! I’d love to see the real one.
