The Independence Day Event will be available until the end of July. The next update will quickly follow the announcement of the end of the Independence Day Event. So expect the next update by July 29th at the earliest or a more probable date on August 5th.

We still have time to do the Independence Day Roadtrip. Sovereigns and Liberators meet somewhere in LS, and then drive all the way up to one of the beaches near Paleto. Launch fireworks, do whatever, and go from there.

Why don't we have an 80s themed trip? We could start at the pier at Chumash, get in sorta 80s clothes and then drive down to the Vespucci docks, stopping at the hotel and the Del Perro pier along the way, then we all go out on a sailboat when we get to the docks and cruise all the way back up to Chumash again. That's the most Vice city route we can take, to my knowledge.
 
Hmm... I guess my Cheetah is the most "80's" car in my collection. I like the idea of the trip. It definitely sounds fun. :D

I might bring my Stinger GT or my Monroe if we're doing an 80's road trip. I'm also calling dibs as sailboat captain.
 
If this happens I'm not sure what car I'll use... Maybe I'll just get My Futo and make it look like an 80's Passat
 
Hold up, the trip isn't official yet, I ain't a mod. :p

Looking at the cars in GTA V, there aren't really many truly 80s cars, but there are a lot of cars like the Infernus that would still fit in.

I'm also thinking we could start at/near the vineyard because it's close to the pier and it's my favorite road in the game. :D

Oh wow. Yes. This needs to happen. I come back in the early hours of Friday morning (about 1 or 2am), so probably Friday night I could host it. I'll grab my mum's stash of Duran Duran albums especially for it.
 
How about the Albany Washington and the Vapid Stanier? They seem 80's, or at least 90's.
 
All the I'm Not A Hipster cars (besides the Panto) could pass as late 70s/early 80s.
