Is there anyone I can add on PSN so I can get an invite to the lobby? (Sorry for sounding desperate)

So we're about to start then? I'm online on PSN now! =)

The lobby is up! Remember, this isn't a free roam session, so you'll be getting an invite to the deathmatch, not one to free roam. Make sure to join the GTA Road Trip Chat too, as this will be very role play based.

Are we only doing one deathmatch?

I need an invite to the chat as I deleted it a few days ago.

We'll probably do quite a few as they're only an hour long.

Guys still going? I have one more ITCC race left.

How long is the race? We've already been waiting 35 minutes for people to join.

Alright, so the deathmatch thing was a terrible idea and instead we'll be sticking to free roam cop sessions. Tonight it'll be taking place downtown, and so we all know where we can and can't go, here's a map. Everything inside the red marking is where you can go.

Well the city cops was the most out of control thing ever.

We need to stay in the rural areas.

Tonight's event was quite a screw-up.

The concept of everything was good on paper, but when things came to play the execution was poor. Then there wasn't much to actually do. You could be a gangster, civilian, or a cop, but the opportunities would be limited. Not much potential for the gangsters to take vehicles from civilians (which the whole idea of players being civilians was stupid) because you'd have more AI civvies cruising around than humans. Cops won't have a good response time due to not having an effective form of communication with an officer around a shooting.

I'd say if we try this again, we do it without civilian players, and with mics to allow better communication.

It's been working fine the past few nights. It's because of the city, everyone thought they were above the law, and after Kt left, for a good 5 min, we had no cop, as I couldn't get ahold of a cop car.

We did the same thing in that we did today in Grapeseed in Paleto Bay and it turned out fine. It was really fun.

Tonight was the only time we had a problem with it.

I'll admit, the deathmatch was a bad idea and I probably shouldn't have done it. I'm not sure why the downtown one didn't work, but I didn't really take part in that one as I was in a foul mood. Once we got up to Grapeseed everything went fine.

Sorry guys but.. Err...

I TOLD YOU SO! :p

I was referring more to the deathmatch than when we switched to free roam.

I understand it's the first time you did that but regardless it didn't make a good impression on doing it again.

Some new rules initiated/reinstated-

  • (Suspects) If you roll over in a chase, you may not roll yourself back over, only momentum can save you, think of it like GTA IV.
  • If the suspect shoots at Police, lethal forces of detainment are allowed.
  • If you die, you are detained, and upon respawning must go to jail.
  • You may leave the map bounds (and speed after exiting them) if you are in need of a repair, and there are no LSCs in the designated area.
  • Everyone cant go nuts at once. Tell me of one instance IRL where the two cops on duty need to chase 14 speeders. Yeah.
  • If you refuse the rules, we will simply stop chasing you and exclude you from the event.

I have a few more rules that should be considered...

  • Police should only be able to use pistol, combat pistol, and sawed-off shotgun.
  • Police shouldn't shoot out tires right away. Only deep in pursuits when there is no gain/loss.
  • Police are allowed to shootout tires as soon as the person they are chasing shoot back.
  • No one should be allowed to go for a kill in a vehicle. No one has that much of a good aim while driving. People can hardly text while driving let alone shoot while driving in real life.
