Props to those who are doing it just for the fun of it, without a doubt the tightest race I’ve had so far! Don’t think I have it in me to run it again for no reward, certainly not anytime soon!

Went in blind with the 458 and struggled with fuel and pace, finishing 8th on my first attempt. Came here and saw @captn slow with recent success using the Huracan so that was my next try and took a very tight 1st with my second attempt. RM, 1 stop 15/15, plenty of short shifting through the second half to get the fuel to last

Yamanaka and Rubilar chasing me down the last 2 laps before they took a last lap pit, then Fraga quickly gaining on my last lap but pulled it off with a little more than a second to spare😅

Decided to knock this one out before some of the other missions in this set as I had heard it was the most difficult of the bunch, now hopefully the rest will be a relaxing cooldown after this!

RM just with one stop?
I did it yesterday on the 911 RM 2 stops lap 10 and 20. Fuel lap 1

Pace 1:59-2:00

Got silver 1.3 seconds behind M6 Rubilar.

Is there a better car after se BoP update. Maybe the RCZ?

Please help. All mission full golded besides this one.

Still an easy win with the RX vision. 2 stop on RM or 1 stop on hards

I just need to get consistent on 1:57. As said before I just lost to M6 Rubilar by 1,3 secs
You don't need to consistently put in 1:57s to win this race. As I explained in a post on the previous page, I can repeatedly win this race with some (just a few) 1:57s, some 1:59s but most in the low 1:58s using the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 or the NSX GR3.

Thanks 🙏 everyone for the help. Unexpectedly I won the race fastest lap 1:59 consistently at 2:00 (wasn’t feeling the car)

In the Supra!!!

I would say the x2019 Redbull race at Lake Maggiore is harder than this one. At least this race I can consistently get 2nd or 3rd, but that X2019 race I can’t get better than dead last.
Keen to see if any of the updates have changed the Lake Maggiore X2019 Nations Cup race since I last did it, which is probably at least a year ago, I strapped myself into my VR rig and gave it a go (Hard mode, TC0, RS tyres). I can't remember the last time I drove this car so it took me a few test-laps to get used to just how quick it snaps round on the throttle without TC, and how it takes about two laps to warm the tyres. But once I'd got into the habit of being as gentle AF on the throttle out of the hairpins, it was fairly straightforward. Until I took the lead on lap 8, that is, because by that time my tyres were over 50% worn and I really had to focus to keep the thing on its line. By lap 13 my tyres were >95% worn, P2 (yellow and red car) was on my tail and so I had to start driving defensively in to the bends. But I made it over the line in P1 without any major dramas.

So no, I personally don't think that the X2019 Red Bull Nations Cup in Hard mode is anywhere near as difficult as the The Human Comedy 8, which features much more aggressive AI drivers, requires 100% focus for a whole hour, and allows for zero mistakes or penalties (in most cases). Maybe it's because I'm 64 years of age that keeping that focus for an hour is so challenging for me. Whatever though, I maintain that in my experience The Human Comedy 8 is the most challenging race in the game, which is why I like doing it again and again despite there being no reward after the first win.

I will have to retry the x2019 race at Maggiore. Maybe the new physics makes the car actually drivable. All I remember is that the AI likes to pit maneuver you any chance it gets in that race. This Human Comedy race used to have the AI dive bomb you in to turn 1. They didn't really care if they smashed you off the track. Heck, they would do it to themselves as well. When I drove it the other week, everything was very civilized.

I did The Human Comedy 8 again today, in the NSX GR3, just to keep my hand in. I didn't notice any difference in the AI's aggressiveness, but I did notice that Rubilar dropped off his times after I passed him. My laptimes were poor for me, in the mid to low 1:58s without any 1:57s, and even a few 2:00s - I wasn't feeling too good. Ordinarily these times would not have got me a podium, and yet I won this race by over 12 seconds to Rubilar in P2. Based on this one race today, I would say that it has recently got somewhat easier. Has anyone else noticed a change of difficulty?

Remember I won the race last week and Rubilar wasn’t even the 2nd. See my post above.

Like you I enjoyed very much this race because of that, for me 47 years old, being full concentrated 60 minutes, no mistakes and consistent 1:59 it’s very demanding and rewarding afterwards. It feels good even if I don’t win but that feeling of 30 laps “perfect” is satisfying.

Using the GR Supra last week, I had another go at this. Won by just over 30 seconds on hard level, 2 stopping with mediums at laps 10 and 20.

I actually lost about 7 seconds (pretty much my entire lead) in the first stint as my front left was dead because of the heavier fuel load in stint 1, so I think I could try and make this even better/more challenging and try a 3 stopper. It'll cost an extra stop but I'll have better pace at the end of each stint.

In terms of race difficulty, I don't know if it's got easier or, more likely, I've just got better. As I first completed this (at maybe the 4th attempt) a couple of years ago before I got into time trials / online racing / properly practicing and also long before I started using manual gears.

It is very good!

I didn't do to well at The Human Comedy 8 - Gr.3 Lake Maggiore though, I could see the BWM in first place for quite a while, I made it up to 3rd but then I got punted off and it went from bad to worse as i was feeling tired as well so after doing pretty well the off just made my confidence go so at lap 15 I switched back to my new Wheel and just did the last 30mins with that, I was just about able to hold my own and did gain a place and ended up 19th.

But if you are good then the Ferrari 296 GT3 is the go to GT3 imo

I'm trying the very same car right now, feels really good to drive but I'm still a bad driver. What was your winning pace?

So I finally did this, ended up in 4th place, 14 seconds behind Hizal. Did it on RM with the Supra Racing Concept. Pit on lap 9 to 10 and 19 to 20. Always on FM1, but needed to adjust in the end to 3/4 for the final lap.
Could not get my pace to the 1:58's, only got some 1:59 on the last stint.

What I found strange is that Hizal was the 1st place, I mean, it usually wasn't him before, right?

But well, I still need to improve, without reaching the 1:58/1:59 I won't be able to win this. The best part is that I performed my best overtake ever, a double overtake. Might upload it here when I can.

So I guess I (barely) did it

It was a strange race. Started with RM, and quickly climbed to 3rd place in the 1st lap, then I was already 2nd and always stayed close to Yamanaka, doing 1:59/2:00 clean for most of the time. However, and by taking a lot of risks, by lap 9 my tires were dead, so one lap before expected, I had to pit and went for the undercut on Yamanaka and Rubilar (who overtook me at the start of lap 6). RM again, Fuel with 10.6 laps, if needed I would do some short shifting. The undercut worked, did a nice stint but had a lap with one mistake, and did a 2:04. Felt it could have killed the whole thing, but I just kept pushing. Tires lasted until lap 19, so it was time to pit again. RM again, and 11.0 fuel for the last stint. Things did not go as smooth as I planned, despite two good opening laps, I had to go wheel-to-wheel with Yamanaka but got in front. Then Rubilar exited after pitting 2 seconds in front. Sector 2 was my strength and still had the tires, so I managed to overtake him at the end of that sector. Had Gallo and Hizal in front of me, and they eventually pitted. Built a 3 second gap to Rubilar but tires were failing and he was closing in. Lucky enough, the backmarkers showed up and they helped me in building a gap again. In the final 2 laps, I had low fuel (1.5), had to switch to FM4 to finish it and tried to lift and coast and manage them best I could with dead tires. One more lap and I think I couldn't have done it.

Glad to have finished one of the hardest races of GT7, maybe I am not a bad driver at all.
Hard mode btw and PS5 controller.

My best lap was a 1:58:7xx,

I also completed this race after a six-month break when I couldn't complete it. I felt like they changed the difficulty and the race became easier. At first, I chose the Audi R8 because it showed good fuel efficiency and I wanted to do 15+15 laps in the RH. I was driving at a pace of 2:00-2:01, which gave me hope of winning, since I had one pit stop left. But I made a mistake and spun. Then, just for fun, I decided to see what time I could set in the RM. I took the BRZ and didn't plan on doing the race, just a couple of laps. To my surprise, my time was only slightly better: 1:59-2:00, but it seemed to me that my competitors were driving slower, as if they were adjusting to me. I decided to finish the race, and what further confirmed my theory that the race had gotten easier was that with 10 laps to go, Rubilar pulled up within 5 seconds of me. I was going at a 2:00 pace, and he was even 0.2-0.3 seconds behind me per lap. In the end, I won the race by 8 seconds over Rubilar, on the BRZ, which isn't my favorite track on this circuit.

I'm just about done with this race :banghead:

I'm just not quick enough, but Rubilar has taken me out yet again, and it's doing my head in.

I can get 1:59s in the AMG, but can't break under 2:00 in the Supra, and my tyres are shot by the start of Lap 10, so I don't know what else I can do.

I haven't revisited it since they patched the settings bug. I did have a great run at Spa with the new Porsche though and would like to try it here.

OK, I did it 😅 The Mazda RX-Vision GT3 did the trick.

Turns out the TCS1 works very well to preserve the tyres and I even got Fastest Lap at 1:58.406, with 1:59-2:00s for the most part of the race, winning by 12.2s. RMs/2 stops - FM1 all the way. And that's me done for the Missions at LOOOONG last!

My standard advice for this mission. Short shift it and 10/10/10 on mediums.

I nearly won it (on Normal) in the Suzuki VGT a couple of updates ago 😄 It's just too thirsty.

Have you won it with any other cars? I tried the Suzuki VGT a long time ago. It just didn't feel right to me.
I need to get back on this and finally win...and am open to suggestions.
