I'm hosting a room featuring a ladder-style PP limit (goes up something like 5-20PP per reace) using street cars (no race cars, race mods, or concept/prototype cars) with tuning prohibited, no aids (NO ABS!), and downtuning to fit the PP regulations is limited to 5 (if regulations are 480PP you may only downtune a car if it is 485 or less). Tires will be limited to either sports hard or soft depending on the track and PP of the cars being used.

You are not allowed to use the same car twice. I recommend all entrants have a rather extensive garage of stock cars. This theme was thought up by a bunch of guys with 1000+ cars as an excuse to drive the ones they forgot about.

Tracks we race on are predominantly Nordschleife, Eiger Nordwand Short (tarmac), Laguna Seca, and a couple custom Toscana and Eifel courses thrown in (the infamous Brown Hell I've decribed on this forum several times usually pops up)

Most races are 1-3 laps depending on the cars, although we've been known to do an occasional 10-20 lap battle.

We generally race clean. If you do not then we'll gladly turn it into a demolition derby but just be prepared to finish what you started.

A microphone is required.

Racing is not incredibly competitive, mostly casual where everyone is justing hanging out and driving fast. Everyone has a great time driving random cars they never drove before (lots of fun times and finding some hidden gems in your garage)

He finally made it in, due to Polyphony's incompetence running online servers even many of my regulars have been experiencing difficulty tonight. Because of this we will now be moving to my lounge, anyone interested in joining should add me and is more than welcome to come in and race with us!

I think this should be stickied. There's no matchmaking quick match in GT5. This will save 10-45 minutes in trying to find a room if people use it on a regular basis. Put a big ass link on the front page too lol. It wouldn't hurt.

So racing was fun last night, myself being the eternal insomniac I'm awake again and with nothing to do have continued hosting the same room I left open last night when I crashed.

I'm just BSing around in some stock sports cars (Corvette, M3, etc) on my infamous Brown Hell custom track, aka the Toscana Test Course, that I've described in a few posts here and has been a very popular shared track. It's a fun place to cruise and race, and everyone always agrees that no matter what you're dong this track has a strange magic that makes you obsessed with going faster on it (hence the Brown Hell moniker I guess, can't really remember where exactly that came from other than its constant comparison to Nordschleife).

Come in, hang out, have fun, and enjoy driving some cool cars on a crazy track!

Since I like driving on the Nurburgring, I have thought up of a big challenge.

The name of the room is Think You're A Master

It's a Free Run room.

The track is the Nurburgring 24h layout.

What makes this interesting is that it'll be run in complete darkness, at 0:00 track time and 1 time progression. Also, the track will be 100% wet and the grip on the wet track/track edge will be set to real.

You can drive any car you want. The GP track is lit. But once you get onto the Nordschleife, the only light will be that coming from your car.

For the record, the Brown Hell is a must drive. I had the privilege of taking 2 laps on it, each a 1 lap race. I had to drive it rally style because I had never seen it before (very slow with early breaking.) I took a respectable third out of 3 on my first race with only 2 offs. I won the next race when the other 2 had small wrecks themselves. This track is great. Long fast straightaways, tight sideways corners and the inevitable off camber right hander. Hop into this lobby one day and have a ball. The other drivers were very clean.
