Just more of the trend to not actually square the edges, but do all these angular things on every trim and light piece. WRX is the worse.
 
I saw a Lamborghini Miura SV at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance yesterday, as it was featured as the Best in Show winner from the Greenwich Concours de Sport. Now, to be fair, the car in general did indeed look amazing, especially with its light green paint. I mean, it's a Miura - to call a Miura ugly would be insane! All of this being said, here's what I found ugly about it: the interior is a deep blue. The two hues looked splendid by themselves, but together, it looked terrible, and my dad agreed. Heck, there was an article about the car after it won the award, and it even mentions that the color combination is "an acquired taste." It's certainly not a spec I would've picked.

I feel like the third generation Mercedes-Benz CLA deserves to be here... Putting the three pointed star all over has made it very gaudy (same goes for other recent MB designs). But the "unibrow" (as I've heard some people call it) really doesn't help.

Even the shooting brake/estate version doesn't help much. As much as it pains me as a wagon-enthusiast.

Oof. Looks very early 2010s Hyundai Excel and Elantra design language. Glad you didn't post a coupe. I'm scared it might look like a Tiburon.
 
It really looks bad. I don't get how the EQ line got so much hate yet this is getting a free pass.

Looks like a Toyota Benz in the front and a Hyundai Benz in the back.
 
I don't like it at all.
 
'62 Polara, and they're good, actually. But I'd go for a 500 hardtop over a post sedan.

It's the Dodge that the R and S Series Valiant's were modelled after back when nearly all of the Aussie cars styling was, um, borrowed.

Yeah, when I first came here, they were everywhere in Newcastle. Seriously. Different colours so, it wasn't the same one. :lol:
Can't recall last time I saw one cruising around.

It's not a very flattering angle. The glass area doesn't normally look quite that bad, but in saying that, it could do with an inch off the top.

There was only a few around my area. I used to see one all the time because it was my friends mum's car (two tone white with blue top), and another because I was behind (or in front of) another friends car while we were cruising around. I was in a 1969 318 V8 VF two door Valiant (that took it's styling from the 1968 American Dodge Dart)
 
Merceds put the round taillights at the back. Just put round ones up front. Go old school.

It's so funny watching from afar as Mercedes and BMW shamelessly copy one another's dumb ideas. This front end looks like Mercedes saw BMW's pig snout and was like "we need to do that too!"

Saw it a few years ago when both of them decided that they needed goofy lifted crossover/coupes in their lineups.

Frankly I'm surprised BMW never came out with an answer to the R-Class.

I don't think they used AI to make it look good either, but someone definitely opened up an outdated version of Midjourney and typed in the prompt "A Tesla Model 3 but with more cameras and cool sports car stuff on the sides and no doorhandles".

Also, I'm not surprised it's just another failed robotaxi operation trying to keep their foot in the door:

Tensor is a rebranding of AutoX, a robotaxi company which while headquartered in the USA, did its biggest push in China, including a self-driving service in the suburbs of Shenzhen several years ago with a fleet said to be over 1,000 robotaxis. The Chinese operations were closed 2 years ago. Tensor says it is an “evolution” of AutoX aimed at personal cars. AutoX was one of the earliest companies to deploy robotaxis with no safety driver in China, but had faced controversy over allegations of operation without active safety intervention controls in the USA.
