o right....but i mean i like to drift, as grip driving is a bit boring..wheres the skill?...well ok there is a little bit, i like to finish my brother off with style so he leave his jaw dropped

others standard ....the important thing
SIM TIRE ............

PARTS .
NO TURBO ,LSD, INTERCOOLER , ...
try it than give me feedback u all can modified anything
because DIFFRENT PERSON DIFFRENT STYLE & SETTING...

thats the way to go drifterzzz :D i like to give my cars little things like they would have in real life (chip, exhaust) my varietta has around 220hp, it's still pretty fast though! and also, weight reduction is free in real life, all you gotta do is rip everything out! its fun, ive done it to my prelude! hehe:p

its called all wheel drive launch thats why he always gets the lead but in the long run the rx7 should catch up fast

Drifting can be used as a real racing technique, but you don't drift the entire track. Only on certains turns can you actually go faster drifting. It also heavily depends on driver skill whether or not you go faster. The more skill you have the faster you can go and the more turns you can drift.
The reason drifting is faster in some cases is you don't need to brake as much. You can enter corners at much higher speeds. Driver skill comes into play when exiting the turn. You need to be able to exit quickly and regain traction.

true...you can get to the turn first, then fend off the person you passed just long enough to get through the turn. if you have an RX-7 and he has a lancer, you should hold the lead for the rest of the race (unless you screw up)

thats the thing..im a bit of a crappy driver, and the turn i normally messup on is either the first hairpin, or the bit turn after the other speedway, im tlaking about seattle by the way, and i lose morale and confidence after messing up twice, but thanx for the advice about not drifting all the track, i always thought if your gonna drift...you drift....if you wanna grip, you drive properly, could someone like, tell me where i should grip and drift on this track? if so, id bne eternally grateful if i beat me brother, he is too cocky, and he always says "its not about loosing or winning" but e has no idea wot its like to loose! and always says hes a batter driver, bare in mind, my RX7 is tuned to 423hp and his lancer is 600hp

why dont you slap on some more hp? ill go buy an rx-7 and see how it does on that course and see which style makes the faster laptime...post in a bit :D

whelp..with all mods and a stage 3 turbo i managed a 1'28.885. i think i only drifted maybe 1 or 2 turns. i can upload the replay if you want it...

thanx, my best time is "1.23" cos i constantly play this track, that is with the LM edition of the RX7, with a normal RX7 tuned to 423hp i get to 1.29, could you upload the replay?...no offence are you actuallty a good driveR?.i mean im sure you are, but i need the perfect tactics to beat my bro, thanx anyway,
i could slap on somemore hp, but you see, it would be a bit boring, cos there aint much skill,

I tried seattle with a stage 3 turboed RX7 and the fastest time I got was high 1.29's, low 1.30's..I'll have to keep trying..I don't really play this track alot.

that good but since i know drift i never grip anymore .....
the fastest with drift i can managed 1.09.xxx with div subaru imprezza LM setting ...its great ....

actually grip driving probably takes even more skill than drifting if it is done to the limit... because while in drift you know you have exceeded the limit of grip and you try to control it... in grip you have to constantly edge yourself to the limit and this means that you must know a lot more about the cars characteristics adn tuning... without this knowledge grip driving at hte limit is extremely hard when not aided by computers... i mean its like closing your eyes and seening how close you can get to the edge of a cliff when you are aiming not to fall off... drifting is like having you eyes open and being able to stand for a bit over the cliff coming back to the edge every once in a while...

dont get me wrong i drift... and since gt3 gives you know info on car center of mass and sucha nd so forth... grip driving to max would prolly be wuite impossible...

but 4 wheel drift is close enough and that is probably possible in gt3... just with lots of practice and lots of time with tire wear and slight drifts...

yeah thats right wat ever u said . but ithink drifting is more fun if u can control the cars . even u can win with less hp & SIM TIRES :D dont be angry man that wat i think & almost done ...:D

lol i am not angry... i also think drift is more fun whether racing or for fun... but just as much skill if not more is needed to puch grip to the limit... but he same can be said for drift to the limit... like 4wheel and so on...

as i said... i drift always and everywhere and on everything but ff... its more fun watching hte replays too...

ff never tried . i will try it later . or give some setting ...
so far now all cars i tried but all japanese never use others
4wd ( master ) mr & fr still learning but can do it
ff mayber later ....need some nice setting ...:D
