The Dome LMP is easily the best looking prototype out there at the moment. It's like the Toyota TS020 all over again.

ELMS will have GT3 cars(at least that's the plan).

I wish the ALMS would do a similar thing with their GTC class.

Pescarolo is testing the Dome. Traditional looking but beautiful car

Looks a bit Group C like, love the Dome, glad it's back!

This. Honestly, do we really need another American Porsche GT3 Cup series? Its even more senseless in Europe because there's already one (or two) there as well.

Not a big fan of the colors...

Why buy the 908? As a toy/conversation piece/investment

The ELMS is probably allowing GT3 cars in a hopes to bring their entry numbers up. They have a pretty pathetic GT field compared to the ALMS at the moment.

I don't see Vickers doing any better than Michael

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he will do worse, since Michael at least has 7 or so races of experience under his belt.

It's going to but just another opportunity for everyone in the world to target and label Americans as "Bad Drivers". AF Corse would be alot better off snatching up one of the older guys that runs the 458 in Grand-Am.

We'll see there is a nice list of great American enudrance drivers that say otherwise to what we see come 24h of Le Mans with a couple of them driver for Corvette Racing in the past and present.

I honestly thought this was a massive joke, until I clicked that link. Really, Vickers of all people? Could he not find (as much as I hate to say it) Jacque Villenueve?

He isn't going to be the only American though. He'll just be the worst one there and if anything, will just fuel the NASCAR stereotype.

They wanted the car in one piece at the end. I agree though...Vickers isn't that great. Vickers is one of the few drivers that being such a poor driver helps me get up, go to the mirror and say I still have a chance at the pros "I mean if Vickers can do it..."

On a similar note, they could have got Montoya.

But why not Ambrose? Or anyone else with some form of other racing experience. Piquet Jr.? Dare I say Scott Speed would have been a better choice.

Furinkazen
Allmendinger made his name on road courses in ChampCar IIRC?

Yes, he raced IndyCar, but he went to NASCAR, he was a great Indy driver, too, but he wanted more money I guess.
