Good luck with that
So, what's the loudest car you've heard?

The loudest car I've heard was a Ferrari F430 (seen plenty of those). It was white, idling at a stoplight. Then when the light turned green, it took off, and the V8 was so loud I felt the ground shake. That's really loud.

Update: I'm not gonna let anyone say racing cars or drag cars and such as their answers. I've seen a lot of people doing that and to me that qualifies as cheating. Please say road cars.

either a formula 1 car at the Indianapolis grand prix or the moto gp bikes at the red bull grand prix in indy they were both ear shattering loud

^ That.

The ALMS Corvettes are pretty loud too, but the dragsters beat them by a (1/4)mile. ;)

My boss' Pro Stock Camaro running open headers was pretty loud when it was driving around in the shop at the Subaru dealer. So either that or an F1 car.

Grave Digger.

Standing next to the fence at a Formula One race. If you'd have stuck your hand out of the fence, you'd lose it. The Renaults were probably the loudest, but any team running a Cosworth would be the most exciting.

Other than that, the Ferrari 512 BBLM is probably one of the loudest I can think of right now...

iluvGT4, it seems you've finally created a thread that works. Good show!

My Tundra is pretty loud when you gun it.

Or maybe it's this Carrera GT I filmed a few monthes ago:

And the F430 Scuderias in this town are always pretty loud.

I have been to an NHRA drag race, but that's too easy.

Yeah that is pretty loud. And that road looks like a real life Special Stage Route 5 (if you play any GT game you'll know what I mean)

And I've made good threads before. Look at the top of the first page of the GT4 forum and you'll see a couple "create a" threads I made.

Probably IRL at Michigan. We had earplugs and they didn't do a thing standing at the inside wall of turn one. Your whole body vibrated, not shook, but vibrated.

Also earlier this year during Gumball some guy had a Chrystler 300C that was much louder then I remember them being. And a CGT at Rodeo Drive, I think it's the one in the Youtube videos from that area, the Alexander guy or something like that.

Top Fuel dragsters are probably the loudest piston engines on the planet. Eight thousand horses can't not be loud lol.

My favorite is when the tap the gas a bit while warming it up...

Probably the Scuderia I heard at Le Mans, followed by a Zonda F, then a Carrera GT, imagine these 3 a few seconds apart going flat out. Absolutely epic.

Indy F1 obviously was loud and Reliant Stadium monster trucks too, but those are too easy haha.

*dragster video

I love it when they pop the clutch(2:30), you can hear it from outside the track.

Yeah, race cars don't count...they're ALL loud lol. And TF dragsters...they'll make it feel like your eyeballs are going to explode :p.

The loudest stock exhausts I've heard on street cars recently belong to the F430 and C6 Corvette. Both are delicious.

Oh I see, we're talking street cars. In that case probably the loudest I've heard is a local GTO with a straight exhaust, built engine, and Procharger. I was standing next to it on the dyno, that's gotta be the loudest 600 horses I've ever heard. The front is louder than the back actually, that procharger sounds like a damn tornado.

There was a jet engine car or van at a wisconsin dragstrip I was at. Standing maybe 20-30 feet away from it, not behind it, the sound was amazing.
As for street cars, probably some civic or neon or cavalier.

Definitely a Top Fueller, no question. They're not just the loudest I've head, they're the loudest I've felt!:scared:

or My 7 with just headers
Oh wow, I almost forgot. When I ran mine open-header is was terrifyingly loud lol. I ran out of the garage like a little girl. Not your average open-header piston engine, thats for sure.

Any of the F1 cars I've seen.

Matra MS670C, Moto GP bikes, Corvette C6.R, Ferrari 712 Can-Am are also just as loud.

I live in the Detroit area, there are all sorts of numbskulls cruising around in overly loud muscle cars. I typically hear them when I'm trying to sleep with the windows open.

 Yeah when I was taking it to get the exhaust welded in I was worried that any cop within a 2 mile radius would hear me:nervous:,especially if I revved it past like 3k

I didn't see we were talking road cars.

A 430 Scud that blew past me doing about 150mph on the way to Silverstone yesterday and Barracuda that is near me that sounds like it has straight pipes.

Non-racecar? Carrera GTs, as mentioned, are really quite loud. Surprisingly some e60 M5s are pretty comparable too. There's a really common aftermarket exhaust out there, can't remember the brand, that makes the BMW just scream.

Loudest definitely has to be a Holden Torana that had a rediculous amount of work at the Drags when I used to go. Every time it was next to me (both cars idling) my engine would turn off from the vibration of the other car. Took a while to work out why my car was switching off all the time that night but never figured out how my engine was switching off as I don't believe the car had a knock sensor.

Next loudest has to be a 360 and 599 flying past me when walking back from the F1

oh and the new lambo gallardo:) i went to lamborghini for my work experience a year ago and they had me round in a few of them and for me it was the greatest thing i'd ever done:)

You don't even need an exhaust. Guy around here has deleted his mufflers & everything after, so the car looks "exhaust-less". That combined with the other mods he's done & you'll hear it coming a long ways off.

One of the monster Corvettes I was talking about.
