That was a fun race :) Sucks that I got disconnected near the end but I don't really care since I'm in it just for fun anyways. I like the pictures you guys took, I'd take some pictures of the event myself but I couldn't get the replay because like I said I was disconnected. Anyways I'm looking forward to more races 👍

If we could set some solid ground rules before next race, both in this thread and in the lobby before the race.

Everyone should be 100% that this is a clean race league and things such as bumping on the corners and blocking on the straights should be punishable by DQ from the race and if it continues then a DQ from the league.

Thoughts?

Good race that!:)

It's a shame Wiifreak's connection dropped near the end of the race as he was very quick and due to me catching backmarkers(Backmarkers due to damage!)I was pretty concerned that he may catch me in the process:scared:

I agree with Kramer, after viewing the replay it was evident that some driving whilst mentioning no names was suspect to say the least and the driving of certain individual(s) should be reviewed at the next round...and it should be ran with light damage in future races as there was some quick drivers out there stuck with a damaged car for no real fault of their own!.

Also surprised cars a couple of car arrived with the wrong spec/rear wings etc when the spec list has been posted for over a week!

Anyway for a first effort it was pretty good and with a little work here and there it could turn into a great championship battle!:dopey:

Nice meeting you lot to:tup:

I'd like to put my hand up.

How long are the races? duration?

This race was 15 laps of suzuka east and ran for roughly 16 minutes, the lobby is open 30 minutes before hand for practice and to set qualifying laps(fastest in free run equates to pole in the race)

Most races would be around the same amount of laps I would imagine:).

I'm in.

Looks like alot of fun and I'm looking forward to racing with you guys.:)

Ready for the next one! Yes there should be some ground rules. I suggest updating the first post with them.

Edit: Where is the next race?

Just posting to confirm that I'll still be participating in the rest of the series :)

Bought a car and set it up with the specified mods.

Was fun choosing a paint colour and wheels.

I find the thing drives quite good too. This'll be a good series.

Took a shot of it during a test run:

Nice work Mic_Col:tup:

To everyone...Interest has rocketed for this event so please make sure you are ready to join the lounge at 23.00(GMT) on thursday(13th).

I will work on a list of regular participants when I get the chance but for this round it will probably be on a first come first serve basis...

Good luck to all getting in...and hopefully having a good clean race and have plenty of pics to share!:dopey:

Just a quick reminder that the race is tonight at 23.00(GMT) for practicing
and The race starts at 23.30(GMT)

If you do a second season of this, and you are looking for drivers, please let me know.

Good race!!

I was glad I'd worked on my suspension settings. There were 2 guys ahead of me for a while, who were losing the back end on the tight corners. Eventually I got past them and was watching them ( in my mirror ) as they struggled with oversteer.

I'm looking forward to the next race.

Interesting story from this race, for those who weren't there. Kramer_264 had bought a fully customisable gearbox, which wasn't allowed in the rules. So he comfortably won the race, by 15 or so seconds, but was then disqualified.

He clearly hadn't done it deliberately. When asked after the race why he was going so much quicker, he was happy to admit that his gear ratio choice was the key. It was then that he found out his error.

In some ways it's a shame, cause even with a slight speed advantage, he still must have driven a flawless race, judging by the time splits I saw.
