I totaly agree with you. I can't count the times I've been hosting a room and suddenly someone joins and, without even having chosen a car or anything, immediately starts begging for no HP limits, or no tire limits.... Dude, it's my room, and before entering you CAN see whether there are restrictions or not, if they adjust to what you're looking for, etc, so DON'T tell me the way I have to set up my own room.
Last example was last night. I was playing with 3 friends and we agreed to all race our F430 Scuderias with hp, weight and tire limits. Then a random guy joins, enters the race with his downgraded 458 Italia. I start the race and in the first turn he just goes straight out of the track as if the car didn't have brakes. He leaves the race and begs me to allow racing soft tires. I say no. He leaves the room. Total noob :)
 
I've played online for the 1st time ever.
Had fun, didn't win any race but did good for 1st time (4th on Tokyo 7 laps, 7th on Code d Azur and 5th on Nurburgring).
Now, I had a great time but I know what you guys are on about.
One total spastic didn't turn his mic off, I could hear him calling "mommy, mommy" for like 15 minutes (the kid was talkin' to his mother), then he drove THE WRONG WAY and rammed other players (Code d Azur), the host kicked him finally.
On Nurb I was beeing stable in 2nd place untill one guy hit me and I spun, I proceeded with typical abuse and so on, and the guy left the game and appologized me on PSN sayin' it wasn't on purpose.
I always join HP/PP/Weight limited rooms in order to avoid X2010 users.
In all, great experience, not dissapointed.
 
People who say "muscle cars only" and tell you you can't use the cars that appear in the game's a-spec muscle race, because it doesn't fit their definition of the term.

Oh, and they aren't even the host! Having a mic doesn't put you in charge :/
 
A few days ago I was in a Nurb "free run only" room and the host started up a race. About 15 seconds before race start he jumped out of his Civic RM into a X1. Everyone else were using 300-500hp ish road cars. I said "nice try" and left.

Another thing that annoys me is when the host always restricts the assists to what he needs to use. If the host is driving a car that he doesn't need TCS for then it's restricted. As soon as he changes to a car he needs TCS for then it's unrestricted.

Pretty sure I was kicked just after winning a race, thats annoying.... Well I think I was kicked anyway. I had a disconnect message inbetween the race finish and the lounge screen.

If you are kicked is there a specific message?
 
Only a fewof things bother me, and ther are all race related:

1. Muppets that don't observe the one block manoever - this should be written into the fabric of the game!
2. Blocking the draft on straights.
3. Idiots driving psuedo-race cars in 'road car only' rooms.
4. Rear-end bumps, as you enter a corner.
5. Clowns who pull their car across the road after they have had a crash.
6. General low quality driving.
7. Anyone who use aids!

There's been a time when I was in a room and TWO bad things happened at once. The first was me and 7 hardcore racers racing Beetles, 500s, and 2CVs around Monza, and this dickdripper shows up with a friend, and both get a Tank Car and Ram 1500 LARAMIE. The Tank car blocks the road while the Ram hides and comes up behind and rammed the only 2CV in the race, squishing it against the Tank Car. It broke my heart when the two started laughing. .

Probably not what you want to hear but this is maybe the funniest thing I have seen on this forum. I would have crashed my car laughing had I seen this during the race, I would have still felt sorry for you though!
 
I hate the douche bags that ram you just because of the car you're driving.

I swear my yellow Fiat 500 is a friggin' target! If it's not that, then it's my gold poly Kubelwagon, though I haven't encountered many idiots who do this now-a-days.


Apparently they also can't understand the word "stop", so I just grab an X1 or a heavy-hitter car and ram them back. Sure, I'm being an ass, but you deserve it!
 
there are some idiots out there for sure!!

I use a mic when gaming, I prefer it to be honest I think it helps a lot with finding decent drivers and decent people when you can have a chat as well as a race :) also it helps with the intensity of the race at times, because (the ring for example) when ur racing and chatting and all of a sudden everyone goes quiet you just know that their race heads are on and its gonna be a good one. also if theres an incident then apologies can happen straight away and you generally lose the whole "what an ass" perception.

the downside is the 12 year olds who think they know everything :-/

dirty racers are all too easy to come by and I just dont have enough people in my friends list who play GT when I do :-/ which sucks a bit!

I like free run. The point is doing the fastest lap... just this. (in the way i play free run with friends)

Man I hate this too. Why can't I sit back and cruise in a free run room in a Schwimmwagen without someone constantly ramming me off the track.

Yes, it says "You have been kicked out."

If you just get disconnected without that message then it was something to do with the server or your connection.

Hating people who use any driving aids is stupid,
I know certain aids in the game are fake and offer an advantage but TCS and ABS for example DO exist in real cars,
Hell a lot of the time(if not all) you can go faster without driving aids then with them, so why hate them?
 
The Japanese that drift in Free run. I get in my Suburu and Ram them acting like a cop so I get 4 of them on my back.

The only aid I disapprove of is Skid Recovery as it doesn't exist for real. I don't race in rooms that have all aids off because some cars just aren't drivable without certain aids.
