Pictures never do the Testarossa justice, but this one gets pretty close - this has to be the car's best angle.

When my friend was thinking of buying an Elise, I went with him to the Elise/Ferrari garrage in Fulham. We sat talking to the salesman right infront of a Testarossa! I had to be really carfull getting up because my chair was right next to it! I would have died if I scratched it.

You could buy a good Testarossa for the price of a new Elise these days. I wouldn't want to fork out for the servicing though!

How did you forget those beauties??

Lamborghini Miura,
Ford GT40,
Shelby GT500,
Audi RS4,
Any AMG Mercedes,
Etc…………

I think Ferraris are dominating this thread... 250, 288, Testarossa, F40 (I don't agree with this one as much as the others, while I think this car is dead sexy, I wouldn't call it beautiful. The fronts a little saggy)

Blackbird- The Sagaris looks like it melted...

Most beautiful???? No way. Most important in the last 50yrs, totally. I think it might actually be illegal in some states to use "Ford Taurus" and "Beutiful" in the same sentence. :D

Unlike the rest of you who displayed your shallowness by equating "beautiful" with "good-looking," I took beautiful in its literal context and described the Ford Taurus as beautiful for being excellent, wonderful, and delightful, as described by dictionary.com.

I also nominated a best-looking car, which has been in the last line of my post since I made it. Do have a look.

Hey, my pick wasn't based on looks alone either? :)

If I had to pick beautiful just for historical significance, accessibility and loveability (love of the owners, not of people who've never driven one), I'd have put in the Honda Civic... bu then I'd get majorly flamed.

By beautiful I meant asthetically pleasing to the eye. Sorry, I didn't know I needed to clairify. Beautiful means best looking exterior. And of all Ferrari's the 550 Maranello is the best looking to me. Still won't touch the Carrera GT. :sly:

Mercedes 300SL for me.

That was one of my runner-ups. Certainly the most beautiful Mercedes Benz of all time. 👍

Oh man this is hard, theres a lot to pick from, in terms of beautifull I really like most TVR's, however I wouldn't equate them as being beautiful, they look great imo but they arn't always pretty. The Griffith being the biggest exeption to that rule. In fact the TVR Griffith is probably up there in the top 10 beautiful cars ever. The Mercedes 300SL Gullwing is certainlythe best looking Mercedes ever, it's a peach.

The Jaguar E-Type is timeless,it's shape is like pure sex on wheels. It's the perfect sportscar and the perfect sportscat. The Aston Martin DB9 is the most beautiful car on sale today imo by far, it's another corker but is it the most beautfil ever.

Then we have the classic Ferrari's the Testarossa's, the 250GTO and we have the AC Cobra. You've got a thestlye taken by various Bugatti's and ofcourse the magnificent Delahaye's of all thoes years ago. I just hink theres too much to choose from for me to pick a winner. If I had to pick one fast I think I'd say the Aston Martin DB9, if I thought long and hard about it, I don't know what I might choose.

This actually turned out to be quite hard to pick, but the best looking car ever, I would say Ferrari 275 GTB/4. An eggplant purple Competitzion actually made me fall in love with this car.

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

How much are those Mercedes 300SL worth nowaday? :odd:

They've been going for a little over $300k in auctions recently.

Oh my God, where to start?

Sorry. Now the hard task is shortlisting it...

Ok, first to go will be the Renault and the Seat.
Modern classics though they are, I'm looking for a Classic classic.
Next to go will be the big Bugatti. It has immense presence and personality, but lookswise there just aren't enough curves. It all seems to flat-pack, too self assembly for a truly beautiful car.
Down to the 3 Maser coupes then.
After much deliberation, I've decided to drop the Khamsin. Time-stoppingly and jaw-slackeningly beautiful as all three are, I feel that the Khamsin isn't as striking as the others. It's the staid, sensible trampolining to the Ghibli and Bora's bungie-jumping. Both produce fun results, but the Khamsin really isn't up to the Bora or Ghibli's magnitudal beauty.

My two choices then.

I really did spend 20 minutes narrowing it down.
