There are lots of cars that drive superbly in GT4... and then there are those that don't... those that refuse to corner, or stop (or both!), some untuned, and some even tuned...

...but which is THE most difficult, in your opinion..? The one that is a real challenge to get round a course at ALL, much less in a fast time..?

Here's your chance to have your say!

One of the harder cars to drive is most definitely the TVR Speed 12, incredibly fast and even faster if you can control it, and mastering it is extremely rewarding. Probably the hardest road car in the game to drive fast but not a bad handling car. If you're asking for cars that are just crap, then for fast cars the Cizeta is definitely a contender.

I wouldn't say crap... that makes me think of poor acceleration, or low top end speed, or both... my thought was the car that really makes you work to master it, but rewards the work... and punishes you if you're careless...

Speed 12... interesting choice... think that would be quite the tough car to throw around say, citta d'aria... big fast car, tight roads... ZERO margin for error...

Handling wise, Alpine A310. Oversteeriest car ever.
The Alpine series is probably winnable in this car with just a little extra power, but I had to put 50 kilos in the nose before I could handle it.
I think the Escudo is harder to drive then the Speed 12, but neither of them are really difficult to handle. They just require Zen master levels of throttle controll. Turn TCS on and they get a whole lot easier. To compare, I've never tried the Alpine with ASM on, but it's just so slidey it seems that ASM would slow you to a snail's pace around corners.

I'll second that - it's pathetic. :yuck:

Every time I get a new car I do an oil change and take it for a blast around the 'ring to see how she goes. After about 5 attempts, I still hadn't made it even half way round cleanly, so I thought that I'd learnt enough. I sold it to some unsuspecting sucker, I was laughing all the way to the bank... :)

i completely second that, this was my first 'fast' car. On the first corner i drove it straight into the wall where it stuck and wouldnt reverse out of...

*sigh*.. ill never forgive that car for that.

Then there that cutterham or however its spelled, i was expecting kart like handling from it super lightweight, ultrafat tires...

but it was a big dissapointment. As was the jag e-type. Its too tempermental at high speed.

The Auto Union Streamliner thing. It's vicious at Test Course, deadly at The Nurb, and absolutely impossibly difficult to drive anywhere else :sly:

I'd also like to raise my hand in defence of the Cizeta, which I rather enjoy driving and particularly enjoy its engine.

It does have a great engine.. but it cant be pushed hard at all. and its very clumsy through nimble tracks

When I first got the Cizeta I already had a bad thoughts about it because almost everyone says bad things about it.

I decided to take it for a spin and I was fairly suprised, iit was better than I expected, great engine. I took to Nurburgring standard with just a oil change, removal of all driving assists and got a 7'27.368. Which I think is pretty good for a car that many say its bad.

I'm sure that everyone is thinking this but not saying it, but the only car that i find extremely hard to drive yet when tamed nearly creams my pants is the yellowbird.

Much agreed, though its a beautiful car, the Cizeta is one of the worst cars to drive in GT4, and probably has the worst brake response also. I tryed many times, many diff. settings, but still handles like garbage. The TVR speed 12 is blazing fast but also another difficult car to drive.
Some other cars, the Gillet Vertigo race car, the Toyota 7 race car.
The XJ220 Road car has very weak brakes, but not as bad as the Cizeta.

The car I would say sucks is probably the RUF CTR "Yellowbird". Its Braking is very bad, When 2 tires where in the dirt and I tried to turn it litterally didnt turn  . The only good thing about it is probably the acceleration.

I would have to say either the yellowbird, the Cizeta, a road gt40, or, surprizingly, a stock saleen s7. after a bit of tuning, the s7 is very good, but stock, no brakes +no weight on front tires = hello wall, at least for me.

as for the auto-union, just set your dfp (if you have one) to 180 deg instead of 900, and it will pull very surprizing lap times around the ring.👍

Theres no road GT40 in GT4, there was in GT2 and 3.

I honeslt dont like the way many of the MR cars handle at all. I do like the older MR2's because the rear end gets out easily but the brakes on the Elise suck bad. Just not my cup of tea.

I am personally a fan of FWD vehicles and find that it takes a certain amount of control to drive them. Especially when they have too much power. Maybe not as much skill as the Speed12 but a good amount. One FWD car that handles like POO is the SRT-4. I hate that car SO much!

Speaking of the Speed12, it was one of my first faster cars as well. I practically forced myself to master the throttle characteristics of that car and after completing the first race series in the European League to get the Jaguar XJ220 LM Car I had basically become accustomed to its sensitivity. Personally I am not a big fan of the Yellowbird but other RUF's are very fun to drive.

I personally love the Lancia Stratos, but it took me quite along time to get it easy to drive. It's incredibly twitchy at any speed over 150 MPH. So much so that simple lane changes can cause the car to completely lose it. At low speeds, though, it lays waste to everything even somewhat close to it in terms of ability. It's also a little poor on the brakes side (not too bad though). It also brakes alot like the Cizeta (you better brake from high speeds when you are going straight or it will just start sliding around sideways).
I like the XJ220 (smoke anything with similar power, including the rich brats in the SLR McLaren) but it slides around alot, which I find odd considering the rear tires are a foot wide.

I HATE the Cizeta after just a couple drives, and haven't been in the mood to bother with the Speed 12. I already have an idea what it'll be like. The Ford GT is a real pain stock, but with a wing and tuning it's quite a bit of fun. I haven't messed around with the Cizeta, though, so maybe it has some potential.

The Alpine, whichever one you have to use in the manufacter race has to be one of the most horrible cars I've driven. It slides around so much, you'd swear you're on ice. I'm sure it'll be better with tuning.

However, the most difficult car to drive well? ANY FF car. SRT4, Alfa 147 GTA, etc. I haven't spent much time on any FF car, but I remember them being almost a chore to drive.

The Gillet Vertigo has to be one of the toughest cars to drive at all, let alone well. With hardly any downforce at all, you're certainly going to be hitting a wall more than once in a single race.
Even with maxxed downforce, it still handles like absolute crap.

I've never driven the Vertigo, so I wouldn't know. Somewhere out there are some decent suspension settings for it, I'm sure. I do know in B-Spec it is absolutely atrocious.
