There is already a thread HERE that is attempting to list the maximum modded power for many cars. The maximum stock power is in the GT4 cars database, which is in the "Look here before you ask" stickied thread.
 
ONE of the most powerful cars in gt4 that i own is the

i remeber back in gt2 when the escudo handled good. glad to see it does once again . 👍 its was horible in gt3 :yuck:
 
Is there any upgrades available for the Benz cars (those with 1HP) ? :D
 
i dont have GT4 yet but what do the Australian cars' tune to at max? (Ford Typhoon, GT, Holden Monaro, Holden SS Commodore) ?
 
Yeah GNs and GNXs can run with anything there is on the road (well, a straight road at least) including skylines, supras, corvettes, vipers or anything else. But I'll admit I'm biased because i drive a truck that was made because somebody at GM liked a S-10 that some of the Buick guys made just messing around. I was also disapointed in the way the turbo eclipse was represented, I have seen 1 run 9 second 1/4 mile times with less mods then you would think. do boi nu cao cap do lot nu yem an cao cap cho be chan vay cong so nu chan vay cong so nu chup anh thoi trang gia re

well GNX's are supposed to handle like Grand Prix Cars (example: the traction bar in the back of the GNX) so the care does indeed school in a straight line but also can hold its own in turns. Im not saying the car should be untouchable or anything in this game, But I would sure have liked to use it alot more.

And for a car that ran a stock 13.3 after pouring over 100k into it in GT4 I'd think it'd pump out a bit more then 600hp. sorry for the rant Continue on :)

And yeah I've seen GNX's run well into the 9's with less mods then thought also that car is crazy fast.
 
how come nobody has mentioned the supra rz? fully modded in gt2 and 3 was 1081bhp, road car with a serious speed problem!!! i know in the game it was useless until 4th gear cos of having to use tcs but god damn that car is quick, mine maxed out at 442km/h, this has certainly gonna be fun on the ring, huge power and dodgy handling on the limit!!!!

I cant beleive no one has mentioned the Audi R8 yet.. i havent tested any of the other 4.5 million dollar cars... but the R8 blew my socks off!!!!!!! It accelerates SO fast, gets up to 200 mph in what seems like no time at all, and can corner at 180 mph +... man, the audi R8 is my favorite by far!!! plus it reaches ~1050 horsepower on stage4 turbo, with minimal lag!!! GREAT CAR!
 
I haven't read every reply in this topic, but someone asked if the Escudo was still insanely powerful and it isn't. Even with the stage 4 Turbo it is only about 1070 hp (going from memory) and the fastest I've gotten it to go is 248 mph I think with full NOS on the max speed test. It doesn't handle well at all and can't keep up with the cars made for road course racing like the Minolta.

Yeah its around 500 something, the car should be MUCH higher not say the fastest ever built, But I would have loved to race with it longer its a killer car IRL gnX's are very rare and very fast just stock so if you poured say the 100k+ you do in the game to one in real life it'd be much faster then 10's.

Okay I'm not exactly sure on the name, the Mercedes cars are all so close it gets confusing but I think it's called the "SL65 AMG". It's a sweet convertible, especially with the nice chrome rims I put on, it looks really exotic, and with 956 HP, it's peppy too.

I don't know, I'm only about 27% right now, but it's cool how many really fast cars there are in this game. I've gotten several cars over 250mph, and I don't even have an Escudo yet. That's what's so cool about this game. I remember back in the day when there were only a very few cars in the GT games that were that fast, and everybody knew which ones they were. It used to be there was no doubt about which car was the fastest. But with GT4, it's actually debatable. That's so sweet! My personal favorite so far is the BMW 4.5 million dollar race car(can't remember the name). It does over 250 mph, and it'll do the 0-400 in about 8.3 seconds.

well the power/weight -ratio is obviously the biggest factor in straight line speed. It's very track dependent whether a high power car is beneficial or not. Admittedly upgrades enhancing aerodynamical or mechanical traction can be unbelievably effective on twisty tracks.

You'd be may be surprised to learn that above 100mph drag is way more important than weight. The weight of the car remains the same, the drag increases exponentially with speed.
