hi guys,

i really love muscle cars, and therefore i want to take part in this wonderful series if possible. i would like to drive the pontiac GTO, please let me know if i can take part, and what i can take.

some questions: are you racing for hot-lap? how do you proof the times? how long does one event take place?

Hey, sup? :) Good to hear you interested! If you want the Goat, she's yours. 👍 Yes, this series is an elevin-week string of hot-lap races. You really do not have to proof unless I smell a bugger in the mix, and I can easily check that; I have all the vehicles in my garage up to spec. And it's one event per week, Starts Sunday and ends Saturday night at 11:59 PM.

Speaking of what's availiable, I thought I'd make an easy reference list of what is left. :)

Nice to see you join up Viper. we'll hopefully have a ball with this one. The cars are absolutely brilliant IMO and as it seems, everyone else's as well. Seems this could be a really good series:tup: 👍 :)

No probs there Jet,
I like to see a series where everyone is just absolutely amazed by their cars on the first test. You don't get that to often.
And I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes here when I say this, but, it seems we all love big american V8's, and the tracks but, have never experienced a series, to include these these monstrously tuned to power levels beyond what we thought capable of cars *takes a big gulp of breath* :) . Especially once we have hit the hot laps, and really get to fine tune these beauties.

There's this 3 per car rule... it kind of would've been interesting to know what everyone would pick without that rule. Would there be 15 Mustangs and a handful of Cobras? ;)

Twenty six and a half hours to go boys (and girl;)), and round one is over. :D

Points System

1st. 20
2nd. 19
3rd. 18...ect..

Also, 1 bonus point to each member with the fastest split. So, in essence, the winner can also rake in three bonus points*.



*Excludes Nur, due to obvious reasons: Winner may collect insurmountable amount of points early on.*
 
I...Lost...my...PSP....

At school of all places. Something tells me it won't show up in the lost and found bin. At least my birthday is next week. :ouch: Maybe I'll ask for an ipod instead even though it can't play games. And it can't get online.

"This must be Tuesday. I never could get the hang of Tuesday."*

*I know it's supposed to be Thursday.

At least I had fun driving this weekend. I'll try to submit my times a little bit later today depending on if I can get on a computer later. I brought my times with me to school but forgot to take it out of my pack before I came to class this morning. I'll try to remember to pick it up later.
 
Oh man, that sucks to hear about the PSP; I'd be über-pissed... Hope you have some brilliant stroke of luck and get it back...
 
Yeah, that really sad to hear that. I'm really looking forward to just getting one.
I hope you get it back though, someone might be nice enough to hand it in. :) :)
 
Wow...this week was, well, weak. Only four finals came in. Ebiggs is looking to drop out or just come and go as he likes, MustangManiac16 is out on PS2 problems, Sbatts6 is running the same deal as Ebiggs, and I have yet to hear from: bhawk776, darkwind, smutteneyspears, RedWolfRacer, and Steve57. :confused:

Also, this would be a great time to check on a few members and possibly rake in a few others.. They'd start with a default set of points which could leave them in possible contention for the title at the end of the elevin weeks.

And, finally, this gives me a load of time to possibly introduce three new car choices (IROC-Z, GNX, '05 Mustang) and work on my next series...

I'm fine with you introducing new cars and a one week break, and I'm fine with giving people the option of switching (as long as it isn't mandatory).

But WHY would you give everyone a chance at the title? I know this is biased, but if I was last each time, why should I have a chance at winning?
 
Well, it's not like the Nextel Cup where I erase everyone's current status and we all start clean-sheet...:lol: They'll start with like the lowest amount of points. (Like, for week one, those of which that didn't enter a time, like you or Dr_Watson, you got last place's default points.) Like that...

Switching cars isn't mandatory; just merely a choice. ;)

Edit: BTW, I already started my testing for some more cars.. Looks like I have 5 new choices. :D

There are 5 new car choices, but I'm still tweaking two of them:

Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z '89
Mustang GT '05
Shelby Series 1
Pontiac GTO '03


To the gentlemen in the D1 Corvettes: I'm now taking only the times for the R3 tires, but, seeing some of the above choices...that may not matter anymore. :lol:
 
Later tonight....I was grounded last night and I'm in school as I type this... :lol:
