This is probably the one series I wanted to be in A-spec more than anything.... and now it finally is! While it is a bit too easy to win the races, it; such great fun to race 11 other cars that are exactly the same (other than NASCAR, which is nothing like this F1 challence) The FGT championship is good too, but I think that Ferrari F1 challenge is the most fun I have had racing this game offline.

I hope they are more fun than the FGT championship, because I didn't like those races much, actually I don't like the FGT much.

But first I have to grind out 2,5 million credits somehow to afford the F2007

Agreed OP! I had a blast on the indy road course. I was surprised how easy it was to overtake though. I lost it on lap 5 and was still able to come back in lap 9 and take first. Thought it would be much harder, but fun nonetheless.

That's easy dude. Run the Dream Car Championship - do the first 4 races and you should have more than a 100 point difference between 1st and 2nd. Start the Nurburgring race and then quit it. You win the championship and get another 540 grand on top of that. Do that twice and your golden. I got to work my way up to 10 mill from 120 k

Nice tip, oh and good luck :sly:

I actually watched the replay of the Indy Road course race just for the sounds these cars make.

I have to agree for this being one of the best A-Spec races until now.

The FGT races were fun too but I didn't like the fact that it was a championchip with 6 times 20 laps.

I did the races with the F10 but as soon I get the missing million to buy the F1 2007 I will repeat the races.

The F10 is very good to drive, so I'm really looking forward to try the F1 2007, since most people tell it is even the better Ferrari F1.

You can be 100 points ahead (4 x 100 for firsts versus 4 x 75 for seconds) and if you quit the final race and the second place car wins then you both have 400 points. In previous GT games you would come second in the championship but in GT5 you come equal first and still win the 540 grand.

True. I've run the DCC many times and haven't had that happen yet. The Jaguar race car is always second but has never been 100 points behind me at the start of the Nurburgring race. I'm sure it will happen at one point or another because I will be running those races many more times for credits.

Can you guys share some tips? I'm having a hard time winning. DS3 only. F2007

I'm on the same train... with DS3 barely can finish 5th in R136, I got a felling that I waste 10 millions in the F2010.

Why not have some fun as well. Note the second place winner and In the final race, harass him and get him to the end of the pack. Cruel, I know. But loads of fun :D

I have the f10 and won easily on the first 2. Haven't played Indy yet though. Make sure to do an oil change before every race for that little hp boost. Seems like the computer really likes to brake early in some corners. The first turn in Tokyo in particular is a great corner to pass 2 or 3 cars right off the bat. I have tcs on 0 and easily put on the brakes later then them and passed into 8th. Drafting is key in the 2nd race I've found. Catching up is very easy and again, if you brake late, you are rewarded. It is amazing how well these car handles without changing many settings. Tokyo was so fun.

I have beat R136 and Indy with the DS3. I am using R2 for throttle and L2 for brake. I can't shift fast enough for how fast these cars rev up, so I am using auto. I use the left analog stick to steer. I will be shunned, but I have the TCS on 5, stability control is off, and ABS is on 1. I find if I do some other races first (non F1) to warm up, I do better.

Why don't you get someone to gift you the car? :)

Getting your own back at the AI, I like it.

👍 thanks for the tips... I will try it and, of course, practice more with this car.

Yeah I use Auto as well but TCS only set to 1.. 👎

Any other tips would be highly appreciated. Thanks

I have also been playing around with the areo settings. I turned them up a little bit. Not much. If I was at home, I could give the exact numbers.

Increasing downforce finds a lot of time.

I was struggling at first, but then realised I had left my downforce on the lowest possible setting after doing a SS7 time trial run.

After I reset the downforce to the default level, it was very easy, I had taken the lead in all three races after the first 2 or 3 laps.

Just bought an F2010 specificaly for these events - thankfuly i wasn't disapointed, as the original poster stated, it's great fun - possibly the best race in the whole game. Looking forward to getting my F2007 on Monday :)

Agree with the OP as well. These races were definitely a lot of fun. 👍

LOL, I thought I was the only one that did that. I nearly trashed my car by hunting him down and trying to ram him off the road. :D

I've won them all with the DS3 and an F2007. I've tried with the F10 as well but it seems a little bit unstable on anything but a flat road. For those stuck on Tokyo keep all the controls very smooth and don't follow the AI's lines completely. For example on the long 4th corner change down to 5th earlier than the AI then floor it all the way round the outside. You should easily pass the AI and be on a good overtaking line into the next turn.

Im going to buy the F10, its not going to race the F2007 anytime, even if it is marginally slower

just looks alot better than F2007

I must really suck... I can't even get close. 9th is the best I can do with a controller. It really reminds me of the Vettel challenges: one mistake and you're out of the game... :grumpy:

The AI seem to be driving perfect races here without even touching the brakes...

Looks like I won't be grinding these events for XP... :guilty:
