I'm on the same train... with DS3 barely can finish 5th in R136, I got a felling that I waste 10 millions in the F2010.

The first track is by far the most difficult of the races. It actually took me quite a few tries to get 1st. The second two are pieces of cake as long as you know how to handle the F2010 or F2007 (I used the 2010) The key to winning is braking much later than the AI does, that will gain you almost a whole second in certain turns

these races are really fun. i maxed the downforce front and back. winning is quite easy as i made several mistakes during each race. nevertheless, the f2007 is very fun to drive for sure.

the formula GT has crazy brake oversteer by comparison.

have not tried the f10 yet.

if we could have a 3 lap qualifying that would be nice. one in lap, one out lap, with the fast lap in between. i wonder if PD can do that for online races.

I've only done the Indy race so far in the F10. I'm using the DS3 with TCS at 1, ABS at 1, Stability off and auto transmission. It took me till lap 5 to get in front, but after that I managed an easy win and I'm a pretty mediocre driver. Everything on the F10 was stock setup.

The key to winning was making no mistakes, no spins, crashes etc. The AI cars brake way too early in the corners and this is where you can zoom past.

Can you guys share some tips? I'm having a hard time winning. DS3 only. F2007

I managed to win that race quite easy by simply putting on a set of Soft racing tyres, there is no tyre wear in the races so you can go for the one with most grip, should give you a good few secs over the race

A good tip for Tokyo, turn 1, lap 1: enter it from the outside line, braking late. That got me straight into 5th. By the exit of turn 4 i had a clear lead over the whole pack. Easy, and not a steering wheel in sight! Trust the cars grip, it's far more forgiving than you may think. :)

This is pretty easy with a G25. I did it with the F2007 everything off except ABS at 1 and SPORTS HARD tires. Just have to be a little bit more careful and not spin. Should be a cakewalk with any of the racing tires.

I wish the Ferrari races were harder. I just did Indi and finshed 31 seconds ahead, even with spinning twice. Kinda boring to be honest.

I must really suck... I can't even get close. 9th is the best I can do with a controller. It really reminds me of the Vettel challenges: one mistake and you're out of the game... :grumpy:

The AI seem to be driving perfect races here without even touching the brakes...

Looks like I won't be grinding these events for XP... :guilty:

Are you using L2 for brake and R2 for Accelerate? Try turning all the aids off (apart from ABS 1 if you need it like me). Use manual as you have more control in the turns and wheelspin. Run some laps round practice mode to get used to driving the car and the manual transmission and then do the seasonal events. Once you've mastered it you can have an accident and still win the race!

These races were an AWESOME addition. I can see myself doing them many more times before the 23rd. I hope PD adds more Ferrari F1 races in the future ... maybe a little harder and definitely more tracks ... Nordschleife!

One key to these two cars is you have to commit ... the Schumacher esses at the Ring are a good example ... takes some balls to not lift through them but the cars will hold on. Trust the grip.

I won all three races with the F2007 and F10, racing hards and using the DS3 with X for accelerate and R2 for brakes. I adjusted downforce up 10 F/R from stock. Tried higher at Indy but it killed my top end speed. I upped the tranny for all three races too ... helps with drafting.

Races were too easy really ... I spun at Indy and was 16 seconds down with three laps to go and still won. The other thing to keep in mind is to stick with it ... the AI seems to slow down dramatically after about lap 5. AI also brake way too early into every corner, that's where you can do 99% of your passing. Downforce will help with late braking too.

Great fun, but just too easy. These races highlight how crap the AI are..

Oh and guys, its not the F2010, its the F10. Just cos the X1 is now called the X2010 it doesn't mean the F10 is called the F2010..

Yes, you're right on that - i noticed my mistake after posting - shame on me as i'm a Ferrari fan, in particular Alonso which is why i purchased the F10 #8 over any other F1 Ferrari !

This is probably the one series I wanted to be in A-spec more than anything....

FYI, you can "replicate" this event over and over and over if you'd like in practice mode(one make race) and I will agree 100%...... WHAT A BLAST to drive surrounded by a full field of Ferrari F1 cars... :) I think in "arcade mode" you can also adjust the AI difficulty ya? I'll have to double check that one real quick.

Love these races as well, guess it was a stroke of luck that I bought a F2007 a few days before these events came out. Got it just to drive around and cuz I had 16m so I needed to buy something, and I'm glad I did.

It is honestly wayyy to easy, won by like 20 seconds on each one but its still fun to drive :D

It's such a nice car to drive compared to the FGT. I love it. :)

I was just thinking the same thing.

Just finished the races with the f2007. That car really is the ultimate driving machine!! So glad to finally be able to actually use it in a race!

Try using it in "practice mode" or in arcade mode(since you can select difficulty level). You've been missing out, you can have that kind of racing all day long by doing the "one make races" in arcade and practice mode... :) Cheers.

Completely agree with the OP. I have been having a blast running them over and over all night. Luckily for me I had been building up my cash and was at almost 20 Million in order to get the peniless trophy. A nice shiny new F2007 went along way towards dropping me down to 0 :)

Man that car is just such a great drive. I'm loving throwing it around Tokyo. As others have said its a little too easy but not so much as to be boring.

Great job PD. That was a hell of a good addition. :)

i still wish i vould try it out, but haven't got a f10 or an f2007 :(

hope someone is able to trade it,

or else,,, **** happens , just keep on saving haha

If you are using a pad its probably harder
It is easy with a DS3, the F1s are sweet to drive. I have used both F1 with RS and RH tyres but I may try some sports tyres next just for a bit of fun.

Edit: no probs with sports soft, I think I will continue this in Amar's immaculate challenge thread.

Can't wait to try these challenges out as a level 24 ticket gave me the F2007 the other day. :sly: Hoping these ones aren't as easy as most of the previous seasonal challenges...

This is probably the one series I wanted to be in A-spec more than anything.... and now it finally is! While it is a bit too easy to win the races, it; such great fun to race 11 other cars that are exactly the same (other than NASCAR, which is nothing like this F1 challence) The FGT championship is good too, but I think that Ferrari F1 challenge is the most fun I have had racing this game offline.

I couldn't disagree more. The seasonal events were something I have really been looking forward to since they added them. Some of the "come from behind and collect all the cash" races they (PD) put together I found fairly challenging and the winning payout was awesome! Really kept down the need for grinding.

I was disappointed when I came home from work yesterday and found no such races. I reluctantly grabbed my brand new, never driven, F2007 and entered the Tokyo race. First place by the second lap? Never driven this car before? What, little over 100K payout? Please!...

Ill send you one for free if you want. PSN is BLG_BOYY.

Just done the first one, and wow that is hard unless you can get to 5th by the 2nd corner. The trick to catching them is on the third corner, you brake lightly and keep a full lock and full speed after. I to restart numerous times as if I was not high enough by the third corner to 1-5th would disappear in to the distance...
