Patriotic, me, with my reputation. Actually I'm not patriotic, I just like British sportscar, the way theyre built and the way they drive.
 
live, the dude's prolly a 14 year old kid who couldn't even point to the uk on a map. He probably thinks the night rider trans am was the fastest car ever and the dodge aries is the epitome of luxury.
 
Im sorry, but the Exige didnt beat the Murcielago, like i wrote in last reply but the Gaiardo.The Zonda where actually beaten by the Murcielago at Top Gear testtrack by two tenths a 1.23.7 lap.The Lotus Elise lapped at 1.24.0
The track is designed by Lotus engineers.
New top time is the Mclaren Merc SLR : 1.20.1.Guess British AND German cooperation pays of.

By the way.The Exige has a toyota engine
 
It was designed over three years ago and it wasn't designed just for Lotus cars, it's a proper test track with straights, sweeping corners and tight corners. The top time of 1.20.1 is not the fastest a car has gone round the track but the cars that have gone faster than it wernt added to the list, they were pat of a group test and were cars like the FW400, SR3 and JP1.

Back on topic... i don't see how people can diss the Elise when it's that close to the Murcielago and Zonda on the track, and they would be classified supercars and not just a regular sportscar like the tiny lotus.

Wasn't there a video here with an Elise spanking a Vette on the ring??
 
Yes, you cannot compare a Roadster to a Supercar. I would love to see the new and old Elise in GT3. The Headlights on the new Elise remind me of the 340R. I would also like the Exige.
 
^ well we already have the 2002 Elise, 2000 Motorsport Elise, and 1998 Elise 190 confirmed so that just leaves the new 2005 version.

On the topic, let's just hope they add the Exige S2 and the 340R as well in GT4.
 
It was the way he just slagged off all British cars in one go, I wouldn't say that about any countries cars. But moving on, the 340R should be in GT4, it was in Toca WTC's but the physics model of that game was far from GT's, and with it being a pure drivers car, it should be a blast.
 
I don't see Live being patriotic saying what he said. Anyway I need to make some corrections .The best European sports cars: Porshe (Germany) , Masseratti (Italy) , Seat (Spain).
 
I believe some would disagree...Maybe add a IMO to that post?

I pray they have the new one in, its just important that they get the US version and the Euro/Asian version cause they have different stats...

Maybe you're right you know... For example, I didn't know Seat was a sports car maker, let alone one the best.

I consider myself to be a newbie as much as you are. And even if I didn't, I wouldn't bash anyone just because they were newbies.

ummm i don't think DiabolicalMask was out of line and i don't know how you think he's not in the know about cars based on the post... i agree if you're going to have an opinion about certain makes being "better" than others... at least know how to spell them ... PORSCHE, MASERATI

Seat might make a 'hot hatch' or two (based on the Golf/TT/A3/Octavia platform) - and it may even have a 'Touring Car' version as well, but no 'sports car' unless you count any 'concepts' that they may have produced.
 
The Seat Toledo Cupra tok Pole position at Brno 29th may in the ETCC with Rydell and second in the race, and is a hard charger with front wheel drive.Though they havent won anything yet, they are onto something these days.The brother of Williams test driver Marc gene, Jordi Gene, german Frank Diefenbacher and the swedish driver Richard Rydell are doing a great job, occatioanally outpacing both Bimmers and Alfa
 
They should of tryed to get the 2004 Lotus Exige S2 in it.
